The young master of the Ye family personally came to visit the Su family’s company.

When the doors of the Rolls-Royce opened and a young man stepped out, everyone in the Su family was immediately filled with awe.

The young man’s features were sharply defined. Dressed in splendid attire, he carried an air of extraordinary nobility, exuding a dignified presence that made it clear at a glance that his status was anything but ordinary.

He surveyed his surroundings, his gaze first settling on Old Master Su. A gentle smile curved his lips as he strode forward to greet him directly. “I am Tianlin, a junior of the family, here to pay my respects to Old Master Su.”

Old Master Su was taken aback by such unexpected honor. He would never have imagined that the heir of the illustrious Ye family could be so humble, referring to himself as a junior the moment they met!

Moreover, his name caused a stir among everyone present. Instinctively, they took the name “Tianlin” to mean “Heaven Descends,” a homophone laden with auspicious meaning.

Immediately, Su Rulan, Su Weimin, and Gao Yulan’s expressions changed dramatically.

Su Yicai, unable to hide his delight, adopted a pretentious air and said, “Brother-in-law, you’re finally here! We’ve been wanting to meet you for a long time.”

As he spoke, he deliberately gave Su Rulan a triumphant wink.

Faced with such mocking eyes, Su Rulan’s face turned ashen with humiliation. She hurriedly lowered her head, not daring to retort in this setting.

Su Weimin and Gao Yulan, too, wore looks of sudden realization. Anger surged within them as they cursed their luck—thank goodness they hadn’t brought up any talk of resignation, or they’d have made utter fools of themselves today!

At this very moment, the couple silently berated themselves, wondering what madness had possessed them the day before to believe that fool Ye Tianlin, mistaking him for the Ye family’s heir and scrambling to curry favor with that good-for-nothing!

But now it was clear—he had been nothing but a fraud all along!

For now, the true young master of the Ye family stood before their very eyes.

As for Ye Tianlin’s purchase of a car in full, the couple quickly drew their own conclusions: the money must have been delivered by the Ye family’s young master’s people while they were away!

After all, if Su Rulan could receive four contracts, it wouldn’t be surprising for Ye Tianlin to have received some assistance as well.

Their true mistake had been believing that fool’s words, causing such a ridiculous commotion and nearly making a spectacle of themselves in public. The more they thought about it, the angrier they became, as if they could hardly restrain themselves from slapping Ye Tianlin to death.

While the couple fumed in silent indignation, Old Master Su was already courteously inviting the guest inside, leading him to the office to be seated.

Su Rulan, holding the lowest status in the family, was inevitably sent to serve tea and water at Old Master Su’s command, her demeanor utterly humble.

Ye Tianlin sipped his hot tea and inquired with concern, “Old Master Su, why don’t I see Yixue’s father today?”

Su Yicai eagerly explained, “My father isn’t feeling well and has taken leave these past days. But if you’d like to meet him, I can call him right away.”

Ye Tianlin raised a hand to stop him, shaking his head. “Since Uncle isn’t well, there’s no need to trouble him. There’ll be plenty of chances to meet in the future. After all, as his future son-in-law, I ought to care for my father-in-law’s health.”

Old Master Su was overjoyed, though he still maintained a façade of composure. “The betrothal gifts you sent before were far too generous. Our humble Su family hardly deserves such honors. I think you should have someone take them back.”

Su Yicai, no fool himself, immediately understood the undercurrent and quickly produced the keys to the BMW. “That’s right, brother-in-law, you even gave me a BMW. It’s too expensive—I hardly dare drive it!”

Standing nearby, Su Rulan watched the grandfather and grandson’s performance in silence, feeling speechless at the charade.

Su Weimin and Gao Yulan, too, could barely contain their revulsion.

“I told Yixue before I returned that I’d prepare a surprise for her,” Ye Tianlin said, his voice calm and his manners refined. “There’s no need to stand on ceremony—just accept the gifts. Don’t worry about anything else.”

Old Master Su averted his gaze, then gestured toward Su Rulan. “Since you insist, I won’t refuse. But about those four contracts for Su Rulan…”

“Su Rulan, aren’t you going to thank my brother-in-law?” Su Yicai jeered.

Su Rulan swallowed hard, then bowed deeply at a ninety-degree angle. “If not for your personal intervention, I could never have received those four contracts. So… thank you.”

“Yes, yes! It’s all thanks to you!” Su Weimin chimed in with a forced smile.

“We are forever grateful for the great kindness you’ve shown our family,” Gao Yulan added, now utterly convinced that this was indeed the true heir of the Ye family.

Sitting on the sofa, Ye Tianlin’s expression froze as he observed this scene.

Then, with a furrowed brow, he said in surprise, “Is there some mistake? I don’t recall sending anyone to deliver any contracts.”

As soon as the words left his mouth, the entire office fell silent as the grave. Everyone was stunned beyond belief.
