“Give me a price,” Luo Yuan said bluntly.

The green-haired man glanced at Luo Yuan in surprise. The first time he met Luo Yuan, he felt that this was someone who had received an excellent education and possessed an extraordinary air. He hadn’t expected Luo Yuan to dare inquire about the price of a ‘Universe-level slave’—that was not something an ordinary person could afford.

“Above ten trillion Black Dragon coins, about a hundred billion Qianwu coins,” the green-haired man replied. “And that’s the lowest price.”

“Damn,” Luo Yuan cursed inwardly.

“Forget I asked,” Luo Yuan said crisply. “Wula, help me prepare one hundred Black Meng slaves of Star-level, rank nine. Fifty of them should be spiritual masters, fifty genetic warriors. Ideally, they should have domains or have comprehended the laws.”

“Haha, Mr. Luo Yuan, don’t worry. My service will be thorough,” the green-haired man responded enthusiastically. That was how a merchant did business. He was well aware that clients like Luo Yuan, if treated well and kept in a good mood, might one day place a massive order.

Sure enough, here came a huge order—a windfall for them!

Beep!

The communication was cut off.

Inside the private room, Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God all looked toward Luo Yuan.

“Don’t look at me like that. I can’t afford a Universe-level slave right now, but I can still buy Star-level rank nine ones,” Luo Yuan said.

The first account left to him by the master of Mo Yun Star had only ten billion Qianwu coins.

Purchasing Earth required three trillion Black Dragon coins. If paid in Qianwu coins, it would only be two hundred and ten million Qianwu coins. Clearly, for the Black Dragon Mountain Empire, obtaining more Qianwu coins was preferable. Luo Yuan’s current assets amounted to about seven hundred and ninety million Qianwu coins, plus a few hundred million Black Dragon coins in small change.

“Haha, Luo Yuan, are you out of your mind, trying to buy a Universe-level slave?” A sharp, wicked voice rang out—it was Babata from Luo Feng’s crystal core. “You have to realize, a Universe-level expert joining an empire would be granted a dozen planets. Even though they’re all ordinary life planets, together they’re worth nearly ten trillion Black Dragon coins. Even a first-rank Universe-level, the weakest among Universe-levels, goes for at least ten trillion—and that’s just the start! If it’s rank two, rank three, or even rank six or seven… damn, the price is even scarier!”

“Hmph, mind your own business,” Luo Yuan retorted. He could hardly remember the price of things in this world anymore.

Afterward, the four of them bought a great deal of cultivation materials—ten tons of “Jade Wave Marrow,” a million tons of “Purple Light Dew,” and many other spirit fruits and equipment. Luo Yuan also bought some rare metals to practice “The World of the True Self,” a skill he felt was similar to tales of “The Manifested World” from his past life. Each of the four chose a large, modular, and dismantlable castle or palace as their future residence.

The density of Purple Light Dew was less than water; fifteen milliliters weighed about ten grams. A kilogram of Purple Light Dew could help a hundred senior martial arts trainees evolve into warriors! One ton, a hundred thousand! One million tons would be enough for a hundred billion people to become warriors!

“We four being strong isn’t enough for the rise of humankind on Earth. Only by making everyone stronger can we achieve that. What I can do is only give a helping hand along the way. The real effort must come from countless people of Earth themselves,” Luo Yuan said with a smile. Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God all nodded in agreement.

Once the number of warriors on Earth reached one hundred million, they could absorb cosmic energy, gradually evolving. Such a vast group of evolving humans would bring about a significant genetic leap for all humankind on Earth! Perhaps, twenty years on, there would be even more warriors; in hundreds of years, the entire population might become warriors!

Adulthood would mean being a first-rank apprentice warrior!

That was the first step Luo Yuan envisioned for the evolution of Earth’s people.

After their purchases, Luo Yuan and his companions went to the spaceship port, where a hundred Star-level rank nine Black Meng slaves were already waiting. Luo Yuan had performed the master-recognition ceremony for them.

The spaceship set off, and they began their return journey to Earth.

Dark Universe, inside the Black Dragon spaceship.

“Third Brother, why aren’t you cultivating at the Qianwu Dojo?” Luo Feng asked curiously.

“Oh, I’m already at Star-level, rank nine. Even the top disciples there are just at my level, so it doesn’t do much for me anymore. Besides, I can access the cosmic virtual network from Earth, and train in the slaughter and dueling arenas just as well. When our strength reaches a certain level, we can apply to become cosmic apprentice mercenaries,” Luo Yuan replied.

“By the way, Third Brother, now that your subordinates are consolidating Earth, what are your plans afterward?” Hong asked.

“Well, I plan to let Earth develop freely, continually raising the strength and genetic level of Earth’s people, turning it into our home base. The remaining monsters are only useful for apprentice-level warriors. Once humans on Earth reach Planet-level, I’ll send them to other, more powerful planets for training,” Luo Yuan answered after a short thought.

“Sending them to other planets—won’t that be dangerous?” Thunder God asked.

“Don’t worry. By then, I’ll have purchased some powerful planets as training bases. Besides, to become strong, you have to fight; and fighting always involves danger, even death. Flowers grown in a greenhouse can never withstand the storms outside,” Luo Yuan said.

“Hmm, Third Brother makes sense. I support you,” Hong was first to speak.

“We support you too,” Luo Feng and Thunder God nodded as well.

……

“Everyone, we’ve entered the solar system!” Babata reminded them.

“Babata, stop at Mars for a moment,” Luo Yuan said, as something occurred to him.

“Alright.”

“Luo Yuan, we’re approaching Mars. The ship is decelerating,” Babata’s voice sounded.

Luo Yuan could see the red planet up ahead! It was a reddish-orange hue, clearly less beautiful than Earth.

Whoosh!

The ship quickly entered Mars’s atmosphere, which was obviously much thinner than Earth’s.

“Babata, prepare to open the hatch.”

The black flying saucer descended slowly, the hatch opening mid-descent.

The four of them flew straight out.

“What’s that—?”

Looking down, they saw, scattered across the vast, desolate ground, towering, decaying structures—pyramids! One, two, three…

The four stared in shock at the pyramids. Though their surfaces were decayed, the overall structures remained intact.

There were nine pyramids in total, scattered in seemingly random positions. Yet, their arrangement made them seem as if they formed one gigantic, formless pyramid!

Luo Yuan swept his powerful spiritual force over the pyramids, discovering that beneath the nine towering structures lay a city whose outline could still be made out—some roadways, some building foundations. Clearly, it had been in ruins for untold years.

His spiritual force swept across Mars and discovered rich deposits of black iron ore and iron cities forged from black iron. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a single living thing left inside.

The four gathered all the black iron raw materials they could find—a total of 9.28 billion tons, a considerable fortune in itself.
