"What are you trying to do? Hey, hey, hey! What about the laser cannon? Why hasn’t it fired yet? Damn, the communicator is broken!" Li Yao cried out in terror.

"Stop shouting. Your men are all dead—I killed them myself. The communicator is destroyed, too. Next, I'll take my time with you. I hope you won't disappoint me," Luo Yuan replied, a devilish smile twisting his lips.

"No, please, don’t!" Li Yao stared at the flying knives hurtling towards him, his eyes now filled only with terror and regret.

Bang, bang, bang, bang—

The knives kept striking Li Yao's body. Luo Yuan controlled his strength, and with the Black God Suit protecting him, Li Yao wasn't fatally wounded, but the force was enough to leave him in agonizing pain.

A month later, in the dense fields of the Australian continent, Li Yao lay on the ground, his eyes vacant, letting the knives slam into him. He seemed numb to pain, a thick layer of dark red blood crusted at the corners of his mouth.

Luo Yuan had tortured the vulture Li Yao for a full month. By constantly collecting attributes from him, the miniature star with golden light shining in his second dantian had grown substantially, now a quarter the size of his own blue planet. Yet the attribute bubbles dropped from Li Yao were becoming fewer and fewer.

"Luo Yuan, kill me. Stop tormenting me," Li Yao turned his head in despair, his eyes already filled with the desire for death.

Luo Yuan sighed—it was time to end it. A flying knife pierced Li Yao's brow. The vulture Li Yao closed his eyes with a bitter smile, and thus a tyrant met his end.

After retrieving the Black God Suit and the Spirit of Grass and Wood from Li Yao, Luo Yuan used a flying knife to dig him a grave—a courtesy not afforded to other war gods.

Luo Yuan quickly made his way to the airport and boarded a plane back to Hongning Base City.

...

Hongning Base City, Elite Training Camp.

"Good morning, Teacher Luo!"
"Teacher Luo, it’s been a while!"

Walking on the path to Jiangnan Pavilion, Luo Yuan was greeted constantly by students. He only nodded; it wasn’t his teaching prowess that made him so famous here—he was nearly a legendary figure in the Elite Training Camp, and no teacher dared challenge him.

Luo Yuan had been back for almost a month. In that time, the Polenaspo family had suffered a dramatic fall in the HR Alliance, due to the deaths of the vulture Li Yao and the phantom demon Katalan. They knew Luo Yuan was the killer, but were unaware of his true strength, as he had destroyed their communicators with his mental power to prevent them from warning others.

The Polenaspo family was secretly recruiting people for revenge, but Luo Yuan had stayed in Hongning Base City, giving them no opportunity.

At the entrance of Jiangnan Pavilion, Luo Yuan saw Zhao Ruo, Shi Jiang, and Luo Feng laughing and chatting together.

"What’s got everyone so happy?" Luo Yuan asked with a smile as he approached.

"Hey, Luo Yuan! Long time no see. What brings you here?" Zhao Ruo exclaimed with delight. Shi Jiang and Luo Feng glanced at Luo Yuan as well, their expressions complicated. Luo Yuan had reached heights in just a month that had taken them much longer—they were both amazed and curious.

"Haha, you don’t know yet? Yesterday, Luo Feng reached a combat amplitude of 12.6! He received the full set of Nine-Series Combat Suits and weapons, the complete 'Ninefold Thunder Blade' manual, and a portion of Dragon Blood worth eighty billion!" Zhao Ruo said, her tone full of envy.

Luo Yuan looked at Luo Feng and noticed his strength had risen to the level of a war god. Clearly, he had used the Dragon Blood the previous night.

"Luo Feng, you’re now at the war god level, but don’t get complacent. Next, you’ll be going to the Australian continent for a life-and-death adventure, right?" Luo Yuan asked.

"That’s right. I plan to go alone this time—it’ll be easier to move that way," Luo Feng replied with a smile. Luo Yuan understood his meaning: as a mental force master, Luo Feng could always escape if he couldn’t win.

"Well, when you go to Australia, there's a place you should visit. There’s something there that will rapidly enhance your strength. I’ll send you the exact location. Oh, and as for the ruins of the Ninth Civilization, you don’t need to go there anymore," Luo Yuan said calmly.

"Uh, Senior Luo Yuan, I don’t quite understand," Luo Feng said, puzzled.

"You’ll know when you get there. That place is important for you," Luo Yuan replied, sending the location to Luo Feng’s phone.

"Alright, I’ll make time for it," Luo Feng nodded, memorizing the location.

August 1st, at dawn.

One hundred and ninety-three students had gathered on the lawn in front of the Ninefold Tower, chatting in small groups. Each was fully equipped, carrying backpacks and weapons, because today was the day for their 'life-and-death adventure.' But before they set out, everyone was waiting for one person—the world’s strongest, Hong.

Luo Yuan and the other teachers waited nearby, Inspector Wang among them.

Boom—

Suddenly, a sonic boom echoed from the sky, and a blurred shadow appeared above the Elite Training Camp. As it condensed, it revealed itself—a blood-red triangular fighter jet!

The jet’s lines were sleek, resembling a fierce flying beast ready to attack. At this moment, it descended slowly from the sky, and below, the students and war god teachers maintained absolute silence.

No one dared utter a word.

The jet landed. "Whoosh!" Its hatch opened.

A man of Asian descent and a man of Caucasian descent stepped out together, crossing the hatch with a stride that seemed to suspend them in midair, as though invisible steps lay beneath them. They walked directly onto the grass, causing all the students present to widen their eyes in astonishment.

Luo Yuan narrowed his eyes. These two were planetary-level experts, most likely the two chief inspectors from Extreme Martial Arts Headquarters.

The inspectors stood on the grass, waiting on either side for the master. Over two hundred pairs of eyes fixed on the hatch—everyone awaited the arrival of the legendary world’s strongest, the undisputed number one.

Finally, a figure stepped out from the hatch.

He stood about one meter ninety, dressed in black trousers and a black jacket, his cropped hair sharp and neat. At first glance, he gave the impression of a spear poised to pierce the heavens. His face betrayed no wrinkles, appearing in his twenties, but his aura was far beyond what any ordinary young man could possess.

With a single stride, he stepped out of the hatch, sweeping his gaze over everyone in the Elite Training Camp. An invisible pressure bore down on the crowd, leaving faces filled with terror—except for Luo Yuan, who stood calmly.

"Hmm?" Hong suddenly turned toward Luo Yuan, surprise in his eyes. In a flash, he crossed the distance as if teleporting, arriving at Luo Yuan’s side.

Students, teachers, even the inspectors all turned to look. The black-haired man, Hong, was staring intently at Luo Yuan.
