Chapter 133: The Infinite Treasury
Luo Yuan gently clicked on the "Secret Realm Treasures" category under the Rare Treasures section. Immediately, an endless list of text and illustrations appeared.
"All-Spirit Purple Blood Sap: 120,000 points per unit (70% off for Primal Secret Realm, 80% off for Absolute Beginning Secret Realm, 90% off for Sky Secret Realm, full price for Apocalypse Secret Realm)."
"Seven-Colored Eye Fruit: 100,000 points each (70% off for Primal Secret Realm, 80% off for Absolute Beginning Secret Realm, 90% off for Sky Secret Realm, full price for Apocalypse Secret Realm)."
"Kripp Crystal: 200,000 points each (70% off for Primal Secret Realm, 80% off for Absolute Beginning Secret Realm, 90% off for Sky Secret Realm, full price for Apocalypse Secret Realm)."
...
"Good grief, I haven't even heard of these things. And these 'points'—they are clearly internal currency, not the money used outside. I don't have any points right now, though I do have a bonus of 10,000 Hunyuan units." Luo Yuan raised an eyebrow as he looked at these treasures. Even if he couldn't afford them yet, there was no harm in browsing.
He then opened the Secret Techniques category, specifically the Soul Secret Techniques section. Looking at "Seven-Star Light," "Eternal Indestructibility," "Tower of the Void," "Diels Codex"... these secret techniques, each famous throughout the universe, appeared here as if they were common commodities. There were at least ten thousand listed on the first page alone.
Luo Yuan continued to open various subcategories. The scope was all-encompassing, filled with wonders he had never imagined. The Virtual Universe Company's treasure vault was so densely packed that his eyes began to blur. He had known the Virtual Universe Company was terrifyingly powerful, but the likes of the Lord of the Meteorite Star—an Immortal on his own—were not even a drop in the ocean compared to this.
While Luo Yuan was shocked by the vault, he remained composed. After all, many of these treasures and techniques were just names to him; he didn't truly grasp the significance behind them. Yet, a single secret technique here could cause the downfall of the Black Dragon Mountain Empire, and a single treasure could drive thousands of Immortals to madness.
Suddenly, his screen flickered; a new email had arrived. He opened his inbox and clicked on the message.
"Luo Yuan:
Congratulations on becoming an official member of the Primal Secret Realm. The training programs arranged by the Virtual Universe Company for the younger generation begin at the 'Universe Level.' You have already reached this realm, putting you far ahead of others.
You have been granted 100,000 points. You may use these points to purchase any item in the treasure vault, provided you have sufficient points. It is recommended that you purchase the secret techniques you require; the three years of travel ahead are the best time to cultivate them.
Furthermore!
A reminder: do not waste time cultivating origin energy or mental power.
From Universe Level 1 to 9, Domain Lord 1 to 9, and Sector Lord 1 to 9, these are all accumulations of quantity. The breakthroughs between Planet Level, Star Level, Universe Level, Domain Lord, and Sector Lord represent the evolution of life genes—qualitative breakthroughs. The company can spend incredibly precious resources to help every core member strengthen their bodies for free, raising their origin energy and mental power to reach a saturated state in a short time. As for the 'evolution of life genes,' the qualitative breakthroughs, each core member must strive for those themselves.
The company will not let core members waste time on energy accumulation. All core members should save their time to improve combat power, comprehend origin laws, and learn secret techniques!
...
Virtual Universe Company"
The email was not long. After reading it, Luo Yuan wore a satisfied smile. The Virtual Universe Company truly could raise one's level from 1 to 9 below the Immortal stage for free; there was no need to waste time sitting in meditation to absorb cosmic energy!
"The Virtual Universe Company is indeed wealthy and generous," Luo Yuan couldn't help but exclaim.
"Beep, beep, beep~"
"Luo Yuan, Luo Feng and Rong Jun are looking for you. They want you to go to the public area for a meal!" his virtual assistant, Xiao Ba, reminded him.
"Understood, tell them to wait a moment," Luo Yuan said, calming himself.
A short while later, Luo Yuan, Luo Feng, and Rong Jun, along with their guest Wuka, arrived at a luxuriously decorated restaurant in the public area.
"Luo Yuan, hello. I am Wuka, a friend of Luo Feng and Rong Jun. It's a pleasure to meet you!" said the handsome Prince Wuka of the Mankas Star, smiling. His every movement was elegant.
"Likewise, it is a pleasure to meet you," Luo Yuan replied courteously.
Soon, the group was chatting and joking, and they quickly grew closer. Luo Yuan had to admit that Prince Wuka was quite social. Although he started with a royal air, he eventually began swearing and telling dirty jokes, revealing himself to be quite a hidden rascal.
"Come, let's have a toast! Today, all expenses are on me!" the Mankas Prince Wuka said enthusiastically.
"Prince Wuka is generous!" the burly savage Rong Jun laughed, lifting his basin-sized goblet. Luo Yuan and Luo Feng also raised their glasses.
After the four had eaten their fill, they slumped back in their chairs, looking fully satisfied. Although the food was virtual, it felt real, and they were consuming incredibly precious dishes. This meal alone cost at least 20 Hunyuan units—that is, 20 trillion universe coins. In the real world, it would cost ten times more.
In truth, the Prince had spent so much money just to befriend Luo Yuan; he wouldn't normally be this extravagant. The conversation soon turned to the Virtual Universe Company providing free nutrient agents for core members.
"The Virtual Universe Company is truly wealthy," Luo Feng sighed. He, too, had climbed up from being an ordinary warrior on Earth.
"The company provides the best conditions and the best environment... but what one achieves still depends on oneself!" Wuka smiled. "The universe is mysterious and unfathomable, and there are millions who encounter great opportunities."
"But every ten million years, how many super-experts actually rise in the universe?" Wuka lamented. "Don't look at the millions of people on Rain Fragrance Mountain, with countless Sector Lords and amazing conditions. A thousand million years later, 99.9% of them will have fallen. The survivors become Immortals, but most are just ordinary ones."
"To become a super-expert among the Immortals?" Wuka shook his head. "Every ten million years, a new batch. Over hundreds of millions of years, batches upon batches of geniuses are cultivated, only to fall in droves. If just a few super-existences emerge, that is a success!"
"Out of the one thousand people in our batch, according to historical probability, in ten million years, there will definitely be fewer than ten left alive."
After all, the lifespan limit of a human Sector Lord is only a thousand epochs. Without reaching the Immortal stage, they eventually turn to dust. And even if one becomes an Immortal, they are very likely to be slain by powerful enemies.
The four talked for a long time, all feeling a sense of pressure. Luo Yuan also felt it was time to work hard and become stronger, because in the later stages, even King-level Immortals were as common as dogs, dying in droves.
