Chapter Ninety-Three: The Three Golden Towers
Boom!
After dispatching the legion of evil god warriors, Arudiba struck the pyramid within the stronghold with a single punch, toppling it to rubble, and walked out without a backward glance.
“Everyone, please continue searching for the evil gods’ strongholds. I will personally eliminate them one by one. You might as well take a short rest,” he said with a smile to Yin Seventeen and the others.
“Thank you for your hard work, Lord Arudiba!” they responded in unison.
“No trouble at all! Go on with the search,” Arudiba waved off their thanks carelessly.
“Yes, sir!”
The group transformed into five streaks of light, vanishing over the horizon.
With the mighty Gold Saint Arudiba by their side, Yin Seventeen’s team cleared the evil gods’ strongholds at a much faster pace. No enemy, no matter how fierce, could withstand the blow of the “Colossal Horn” strike.
Arudiba was like a fierce bull, unstoppable in his advance. One after another, countless evil god strongholds shattered like bursting bubbles upon the earth.
Half an hour later, the group reconvened at the northwestern edge of the Evil Gods’ Domain.
“Lord Arudiba, no new discoveries on my side!”
“Same here, Lord Arudiba!”
One by one, they reported their search results.
“Excellent!” Arudiba nodded solemnly. “To avoid any oversight, I ask everyone to conduct one final cross-search. We must annihilate every stronghold across the northwest region of North America.”
“Yes, Lord Arudiba!”
Fully aware of the gravity of the mission, none dared to slacken. They immediately transformed into streaks of light and sped away.
Within the Evil Gods’ Domain, atop the pyramids in the northwest, a golden-haired woman with waves of shimmering locks transmitted a telepathic message to her companions stationed on two other pyramids.
“Almost all the energy-gathering strongholds outside have been destroyed. How are your energy reserves coming along?”
On the southern pyramid, the guarding man replied helplessly, “Only eighty-five percent accumulated. We’re still far from enough to open the temporal gate.”
“Mine is about the same—around eighty-five percent,” answered the short-haired brunette woman atop the northeastern pyramid.
“That’s troublesome,” sighed the golden-haired woman, stroking her chin thoughtfully. “With just the three of us, we cannot possibly defend the bases of all three temporal gates.”
“Though the deity can descend by inhabiting our bodies, that state cannot be sustained for long.”
“If the temporal gate bases are destroyed, all our years of effort will be in vain!”
At this, the man on the southern pyramid frowned. “So, what do you propose?”
“I suggest redistributing the energy from one pyramid to the other two, opening two temporal gates first to guarantee the deity’s true form can descend,” the golden-haired woman answered seriously.
Once the deity’s true form arrives, they will have a core pillar of strength. Otherwise, divine possession is but a fleeting existence; once the time expires, resistance is impossible.
The other two considered briefly and did not object.
“Which pyramid’s energy will you redistribute?” the short-haired woman asked.
“The one beneath his feet,” the golden-haired woman answered without hesitation, gazing toward the southern pyramid.
She had already decided this when she made the suggestion.
Hearing this, the man on the southern pyramid was displeased.
“On what grounds? Do you realize this is an affront to Lord Death God?” The pyramid beneath him was dedicated to the Death God he served.
Sacrificing the pyramid he guarded would be a sign of disrespect.
“I disagree. If energy is to be divided, it should come from the pyramid she guards,” the man said, looking toward the northeastern pyramid where the short-haired woman stood.
As for the golden-haired woman’s pyramid, he dared not even consider touching it.
At the same time, the short-haired woman stood firm. “You’re insulting Lord Dark God, then!”
The pyramid she guarded was consecrated for the Dark God.
Seeing the dispute escalating to a divine level, the golden-haired woman hurriedly intervened, “This is decided. I will bear all consequences.”
“But—”
Before the man could continue, she snapped, “Don’t forget, Lord Death God is but a subordinate to Lord Light God.”
“As the earthly representative of Lord Light God, I have the authority to act on behalf of Lord Death God!”
Upon hearing this, the southern pyramid’s guardian could only close his mouth grudgingly.
Because the Death God was a subordinate of the Light God, this death envoy was inherently inferior to the golden-haired woman.
Yet, in truth, the Death God he served was not much lower in status than the Dark God the brunette served.
Only the relationship between the Dark God and Light God was strained, which likely influenced the golden-haired woman’s decision to target the southern pyramid for energy redistribution.
“Now, while the Saints have yet to breach this place, open your pyramid’s permissions and transfer the energy to us immediately!” the golden-haired woman ordered the man again.
“Understood,” he muttered reluctantly, opening the permissions and silently channeling the pyramid’s energy through spatial conduits to the other two pyramids.
Checking the transfer speed, the golden-haired woman reminded the others, “It will take some time to fully accumulate the energy. Do not abandon your posts under any circumstances.”
“If the deity’s mission is jeopardized, you know the consequences!”
“Yes!” they responded solemnly, their expressions grim.
Elsewhere, Yin Seventeen and his companions conducted a meticulous second sweep of the northwest North American region. Confirming no anomalies, they regrouped once more at the edge of the Evil Gods’ Domain.
“Report to Lord Arudiba: no abnormalities detected!”
“Report to Lord Arudiba: all clear!”
…
Upon hearing their identical reports, Arudiba nodded with satisfaction.
He then telepathically contacted Camus in the northeast and Dismas in the south.
“How are things on your ends?”
“No problems,” Camus responded unemotionally.
“Brother Arudiba, I’ve cleared my area long ago! Waiting for your order to storm in together!” Dismas laughed heartily.
Outside the divine domain, the enemy strongholds were nothing but weaklings, unworthy even of a warm-up.
He was eager to unleash havoc within the divine domain, expecting far more interesting challenges there.
Hearing this, Arudiba nodded. “Very well, let us storm the Evil Gods’ Domain together and shatter their ambitions.”
In the south, upon hearing the Taurus Gold Saint’s command, Dismas rallied the Saints and stepped into the divine domain.
“Evil gods of North America, Dismas has arrived! Hahaha—”
