Not far away, a streak of green light sped through the sky and crashed down onto the battlefield with a thunderous roar. As the radiance faded, a female warrior wearing a black veil over her eyes appeared from within. It was Mayura of the Peacock Constellation, returned at last. Just as Yin Seventeen had predicted, Mayura had overcome her formidable silver-ranked opponent.

At the same time, seeing her return alone, while their own strongest fighter was nowhere to be seen, a look of terror spread across the faces of the remaining Evil God warriors. Each one of them had already guessed the dreadful outcome: their most powerful leader had fallen.

Now, with four silver-level warriors slain, only these bronze-ranked Evil God fighters remained. No matter what, they were no match for the Saints who stood before them. The will to fight vanished at once; all of them turned and fled in a desperate attempt to escape.

Unfortunately for them, seeing Mayura return only reinvigorated the fighting spirit of Meiyi and her two companions. They threw themselves into pursuit, blocking the fleeing enemies with all their might. Only two or three lucky individuals managed to slip away from their grasp.

Yet with Mayura, a warrior at the very limits of the Silver rank, present on the field, how could these mere bronze-ranked Evil God fighters hope to escape under her gaze? She clenched her fist and, with lightning speed, unleashed six punches in rapid succession.

In that instant, the power of her Cosmo, mingled with the force of her blows, transformed into six verdant streams of light that shot toward the six remaining Evil God warriors. One after another, whether locked in combat with Meiyi’s group or already fleeing, all six were struck down by the green radiance and collapsed, unable to rise again.

“We are truly grateful to you, Lady Mayura!” With the enemy utterly eliminated, Meiyi and her companions crowded around the Peacock Saint to express their thanks.

Hearing their labored breathing, Mayura spoke gently, “Rest here for a while.”

“Yes, ma’am!” The three let out a long sigh of relief and, caring nothing for appearances, sprawled out on the ground. For warriors of their caliber, dealing with six bronze-ranked Evil God fighters should not have been a difficult task. But after so many consecutive battles, exhaustion had worn them down; even their brief respite was far from enough to restore them. That was why they had become deadlocked with the remaining enemies—neither side able to prevail.

Meanwhile, Mayura approached Yin Seventeen. “Are you all right?” she asked, looking at him with a hint of puzzlement.

With her sixth sense, she could clearly “see” the deep and severe scars upon the Cupbearer Cloth. Yet, for some reason, his physical condition appeared unnaturally good. Judging by the marks left on the Cloth, he must have suffered a ferocious assault. Given the Cupbearer’s current strength, being struck by such an attack should have left him in no shape to stand.

“I’m fine,” Yin Seventeen waved his hand dismissively, then added, “I used a spiritual healing elixir—my injuries are mostly healed.” There was no hiding the Moonlit Dew from everyone; since there was no point in secrecy, he simply explained it to Mayura.

“A spiritual elixir?” Mayura pondered a moment before realization dawned. “Some time ago, I heard that the Serpent Saint received some Moonlit Dew from you, with remarkable healing effects. So the rumors were true!”

As she spoke, she cast a curious glance at Yin Seventeen. Though Mayura could not see, he nevertheless felt a strange sense of perception sweep over him from head to toe.

“You should rest as well. The real battle hasn’t yet begun,” Mayura advised him, turning her gaze to the southeast.

She could sense that they were already close to the God Domain of the North American Evil God. In other words, the strongholds outside the Domain were nearly all cleared. This also meant that their campaign was about to enter a new and more dangerous phase. They would have to enter the Domain itself and eliminate the source of this evil.

On another front, atop the mountain peak where they kept watch over the God Domain, Aldebaran and his two companions waited for a long while, yet saw no reinforcements dispatched from within the Domain to support the outposts outside.

“Those fellows really are patient—even now, not one has come out,” Deathmask said helplessly, sitting on the edge of the cliff with his legs dangling into the void. The Evil God strongholds across North America had been nearly wiped out, yet not a single person emerged to their aid.

Beside him, Camus remarked coldly, “If they truly dared to step out of the God Domain to support their outposts, I’d start doubting their intelligence.”

A Saint of the Seventh Sense could not be produced by force, which meant the Evil God warriors could at best reach the limits of the Sixth Sense. Within the God Domain, bolstered by its power and suppressing influence, those peak Sixth Sense fighters might temporarily contend with the three of them. But outside the Domain, they would be at the Saints’ mercy. In Camus’s place, he would not risk venturing out to help either.

“No matter if they come out or not, we’ll have to enter eventually and destroy the Evil God’s lair,” Aldebaran said, looking down the mountainside.

Because of the God Domain’s barrier, he had tried for a long time yet still could not discern what lay within, filling him with unease. At that, he reached out telepathically to the leaders of the three strike teams scattered across North America.

“Mayura, Rigel, Daedalus—what’s the status of your missions?”

Mayura was startled by the sudden message, but quickly replied calmly, “We’re nearly finished here. I’m very close to the God Domain now, Lord Aldebaran.”

“Same on my end,” said Rigel of Orion earnestly.

“I’m nearly done as well!” replied Daedalus of the Crown confidently.

“Good. Thank you, everyone,” Aldebaran withdrew his mind and broke contact with the three, then turned to his two companions. “It seems no one from the God Domain will be coming out. We’ll each head down, lend a hand, and then lead our teams to assault the Evil God’s Domain from three directions at once.”

At these words, Deathmask leapt up, overjoyed. “No problem! I’ve been waiting long enough—warming up a bit first won’t hurt!”

He rolled his shoulders, unable to hide his eagerness. “I’ll take the southern route!”

Camus said nothing more, directly choosing his direction. He transformed into a golden streak of light and vanished from the mountaintop. Deathmask curled his lip. “That guy really is shamelessly direct.”

“Enough chatter! There are only two directions left. I’ll let you choose first,” Aldebaran said, shaking his head helplessly. He didn’t care which way he went.

“Really?” Deathmask’s face lit up once more.

“If you keep dithering, I’ll go,” Aldebaran warned, folding his arms impatiently. He was not an impatient man, but he longed to reach the front lines and relieve his comrades who had fought so long, not waste time here with the Cancer Saint.

Deathmask thought for a moment. “I remember the Lepus girl is in the northwest, so I’ll go due south.”

“As you wish,” Aldebaran said with a shake of his head, transforming into a golden light and speeding toward the northwest, leaving Deathmask alone atop the mountain.
