Chapter 17: First, Savor the Delicacies; Then, Savor the Campus Beauty
Qin Feng pulled Lin Yuwei’s hand; her palms were ice-cold.
The next second, Lin Yuwei felt a flash of white light before her eyes, and she was sucked into a different space. The familiar, cluttered Dorm 301 vanished, replaced by a pure white expanse that defied description. The walls, the ceiling, and the floor were all flawlessly white and mirror-smooth.
In the center of the room sat a bed, a dining table, two chairs, and a loveseat. Everything was minimalist, modern, and stark white. On the wall, a massive widescreen TV silently played footage of deep blue oceans and emerald islands. A Glock 43 pistol and an M16 assault rifle lay on the single bed, accompanied by several fully loaded magazines and a pile of gleaming yellow cartridges.
Lin Yuwei’s beautiful eyes widened. She approached cautiously, extending a trembling finger to lightly brush the thick, dark barrel of the M16. The cold metal pressed against her fingertip, the weapon emitting a deep, metallic luster. Her heart hammered against her ribs at the touch.
"You really have guns. Are these real?" she asked, her voice shaking.
Qin Feng smiled. "Of course. They can kill."
Lin Yuwei instinctively recoiled. "Let me ask you something—why don't you go downstairs and use these guns to kill the zombies?"
In the simple worldview of a campus beauty, having a gun meant one should be a hero and save the world. Qin Feng let out a cold laugh, as if mocking her naivety.
"Lin Yuwei, are you stupid? In a zombie apocalypse, guns are for self-protection, not for fighting zombies. When things get critical, the people around you are who you need to be wary of, not the zombies!"
Lin Yuwei tried to grasp the cruel philosophy hidden in his words. Qin Feng continued, "There are so many zombies outside; can I kill them all? How much ammunition do I have? But the people around me? They might strangle me while I sleep just for a bite of food. That’s why these guns are for dealing with 'friends'."
Lin Yuwei’s delicate body trembled. Flashes of Wu Changle’s indifferent tone and the calculating gazes of Cao Hong, Geng Xuan, and Pan Yu raced through her mind. She nodded slightly. This time, she truly understood what Qin Feng meant, and she empathized with his mindset. After all, she had wanted to shoot that boyfriend of hers, Wu Changle, who did nothing but spout cold remarks. As for the stumbling zombies downstairs, what did they have to do with her?
After inspecting the handguns, Lin Yuwei felt as though she had completed a ritual. She turned around, cheeks flushed, and whispered, "Then... then let’s begin."
Qin Feng nodded, gesturing to the bed with a cold tone. "Lin Yuwei, lie down. Close your eyes. Try to enjoy it. I’ll be gentle."
"Mm, thank you," she murmured. Her heart was beating violently. She straightened her clothes and lay down on the five-foot single bed. The sheets were brand new, as were the pillow and the thin quilt, all emitting a pleasant scent of laundry detergent. She didn’t feel repulsed by the bed—was this a guy’s bed? It was surprisingly clean. And she didn’t mind Qin Feng either; he was tall and handsome, far better than Wu Changle. She only felt that trading her first time for a meal seemed a bit wasteful.
***
After lying down, Lin Yuwei slowly closed her eyes. Her long lashes fluttered like butterfly wings, trembling as she waited for Qin Feng’s advance.
Seconds ticked by. One second. Ten seconds. A minute.
A long time passed, and Qin Feng made no move. Lin Yuwei’s heart felt like it was about to burst from her chest. A whirlwind of emotions surged within her: the tension of the impending act, the anxiety that her body wasn't perfect enough, the fear of Wu Changle finding out, the dread that Qin Feng might be too rough, the shame of selling herself for a meal, and the bitterness of having no one in the world to rely on but herself.
Finally, two streams of hot tears rolled down the corners of her eyes, soaking the white pillowcase. *What kind of life is this? For a single meal!!!*
Yet, Qin Feng still didn't move. Lin Yuwei curiously opened one eye to peek. She saw that Qin Feng hadn't come near her at all; he was standing by the bed, examining her body inch by inch with a critical gaze.
Lin Yuwei felt a sudden urgency. "Um, let’s get on with it."
"Oh, right, here." She pulled the "ultra-thin, extra-lubricated, long-lasting" box from her pocket and handed it to Qin Feng, not daring to meet his eyes.
Qin Feng gave a faint smile, his stomach letting out an untimely, loud rumble. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but he was truly starving. A man might want many things after being fed, but right now, he only cared about filling his stomach.
At that moment, having successfully stirred up Lin Yuwei’s emotions, the system prompt rang in his mind.

【Ding, redemption successful. AI flight attendant Xiao Qing will deliver the dinner to the table.】
Soon, an AI beauty in a crisp flight attendant uniform appeared out of thin air, a standard smile on her face as she placed steaming seafood dishes onto the white table.
Qin Feng sat down, eyes wide as he looked at the feast: chilled Australian lobster sashimi with translucent meat, thick-cut Norwegian salmon belly with clear fat marbling, golden-grilled French lamb chops, sizzling black pepper beef strips, colorful vegetable salads, and two glasses of iced lemonade. There was so much food the two of them couldn't possibly finish it.
Lin Yuwei had been keeping her eyes squeezed shut, waiting for the "verdict" that never came. Instead, the aroma of food wafted into her nose. She opened her eyes in curiosity.
*Ah!*
Qin Feng wasn't standing by the bed anymore; he was sitting at the dining table. And the table, which had been empty, was now overflowing with a dazzling array of gourmet food!
*Ah!*
Lin Yuwei’s mouth watered instantly, and her stomach roared in response. "What’s going on? Where did all this food come from?"
She pushed herself up, looking bewildered and adorable. Qin Feng turned, flashing a grin. "Haha, Lin Yuwei, come over and eat. You need to be full to work."
Lin Yuwei was completely stunned. "Ah, eat first?" Her voice was filled with disbelief.
Qin Feng: "Eat first, then eat you."
Lin Yuwei: "..."
She couldn't help but leap from the bed, running over barefoot like a happy little bird. Looking at the feast, her eyes sparkled. She picked up a pair of chopsticks, still uncertain. "I... am I really allowed to eat?"
Qin Feng pushed a glass of lemonade toward her. "Eat. I’m hungry too. Join me."
Lin Yuwei was ecstatic. "Ah, okay, okay! Why are you so nice today? Hahaha, I knew you weren't a bad person, Qin Feng!"
Qin Feng smiled without a word. "Of course, I’m definitely not a bad person."
Inwardly, he chuckled: *You little fool, let’s fill your stomach first. After dinner, I’ll take my time eating you. Did you really think you could escape my grasp?*
