Chapter 11: The Humiliation of the Campus Belle

Lin Yuwei’s gaze was vacant as she watched Qin Feng eat half a bowl of rice using his chopsticks. Moreover, Qin Feng had eaten half of each of the four dishes on the table. He had also drunk more than half of a bowl of tomato and egg drop soup. Finally, Qin Feng patted his stomach and said, “Hmm, I’m full. The rest is all yours.” Saying that, he left the remaining half bowl of rice and his used chopsticks on the table. Qin Feng then lay on the bed, playing on his phone. From his TikTok came the rhythmic music of a woman in black stockings and a short skirt dancing. Lin Yuwei hesitated for a moment but eventually picked up the half bowl of rice and the chopsticks Qin Feng had used.
Holding the chopsticks, Lin Yuwei hesitated for a very long time. “I’m the pride of the school, yet I’m eating a boy’s leftovers…” But hunger overcame her pride. Tears welled up in her eyes as she began to eat the rice and the four dishes, bite by bite. She had no choice—her stomach was empty. When one is hungry, it feels as if a mouth inside your stomach is devouring you. Thus, Lin Yuwei cherished this hard-won meal. On one hand, the food was delicious and suited her taste perfectly. Each bite brought satisfaction to her mouth and filled her stomach. Feeling satiated and replenished with energy, she suddenly felt comfortable all over. On the other hand, it was her first time eating a boy’s leftovers, and with the chopsticks he had used, no less. She thought, “Isn’t this like a disguised kiss?”
Though there was a pack of wet wipes on the table, and she could have cleaned the chopsticks, Lin Yuwei knew Qin Feng’s temper. She feared he might suddenly jump up and throw all the food into the trash. So, reason triumphed over emotion. Lin Yuwei swallowed the last of the leftovers with Qin Feng’s chopsticks. The good news was that she didn’t have to wash the dishes—there wasn’t even a kitchen. This was a very strange space with no windows or doors; she didn’t even know how she had gotten in.
“Qin Feng, I’ve finished eating. Can I leave now?” Lin Yuwei asked meekly.
“Oh? You’re done?” Qin Feng asked from the bed.
“Yes.”
“Are you full?”
“Yes.”
“Was it tasty?”
“Yes.”
“Do you want to come again next time?”
“Next time… if the zombie crisis doesn’t end, I guess I’ll still come.” Lin Yuwei said humbly, unwilling to speak too firmly.
“Lin Yuwei, listen. Next time it won’t just be a simple massage. Next time, you’ll have to make a bigger sacrifice.”
“A bigger sacrifice… you mean… in what way?” Lin Yuwei’s voice trembled.
Here it came. Qin Feng was finally going to make that request. Indeed, men—regardless of how sweetly they speak—always end up wanting that in the end. Shameless, filthy, and vile… sob.
“In what way? You figure it out yourself. Anyway, if you want to come eat next time, the food will be tastier and there will be more choices, but your sacrifice will also have to be greater. Otherwise, I won’t let you in. Understand?”
“Sob, I understand.”
“Good, you can leave now.”
“I… I don’t know how to get out! What kind of place is this? There’s not even a door!” Lin Yuwei panicked.
She looked around; all four walls were white with no windows or doors.

To be honest, if Qin Feng forced her to go to bed now, Lin Yuwei would have no choice but to comply.
“Oh, I forgot. Here, I’ll take you out.”
With that, Qin Feng got off the bed and grabbed Lin Yuwei’s hand. With a loud boom, the two of them stepped out of the space. Lin Yuwei, who had closed her eyes in fear, now opened them. She found herself back in dorm room 301, surrounded by clutter and mess. Returning to the familiar girls’ dorm gave her a sigh of relief.
“Well, I’m leaving now.” Lin Yuwei gently pulled her hand away from Qin Feng.
“Mm, bye. Come again next time when you’re hungry, I’ll feed you.” Qin Feng said.
“…” Lin Yuwei said nothing and walked to the door. She quietly turned the doorknob and peeked out into the corridor to see if anyone was there. Then she knocked on the doors of rooms 303 and 304, but Tang Tang still didn’t answer. Pretending to have just come from Tang Tang’s room, Lin Yuwei returned to her own room, 302. Inside, she found Cao Hong and the others still in their beds with curtains drawn, making it impossible to tell if they were asleep or awake.
Lin Yuwei grabbed a bath towel and went to the bathroom to freshen up. After her satisfying meal, she enjoyed a luxurious shower, washed her hair, and applied moisturizer all over. She even put on a facial mask while lying on her bed, simultaneously sipping a cup of jasmine tea made with hot water—she wanted to cut the heaviness from eating meat.
Honestly, after a full dinner, she felt far happier than her three roommates, whose stomachs had been growling all night. Lin Yuwei had a sense of superiority.
After completing her bedtime routine, she checked the time—it was 10 p.m., the usual time for her video call with her boyfriend, Wu Changle. Lin Yuwei climbed onto her bed, pulled down the curtain, and prepared for the call. The sweet ringtone sounded as the call connected.
Lin Yuwei smiled: “Hello, my dear.”
Wu Changle, suspicious: “Your roommate told me. You went out just now?”
Lin Yuwei, feeling guilty: “No, I’ve been in the dorm all along.”
Wu Changle doubted: “Don’t lie. Your roommate told me.”
Lin Yuwei smiled: “Oh, right, I remember now. I just went to Tang Tang’s room to check on her. What’s wrong with that?”
Wu Changle: “How long were you there?”
Lin Yuwei: “About half an hour. What’s the matter? Don’t doubt me. I love you.”
Wu Changle: “You were in Tang Tang’s room for half an hour? I don’t buy it.”
Lin Yuwei: “What don’t you believe? Tang Tang and I are best friends.”
Wu Changle: “But your roommate said you went to Qin Feng’s room.”
Lin Yuwei, furious: “They’re lying. I never went to Qin Feng’s room. Tell them to prove it! It’s slander.”
Wu Changle: “…” Well, he really had no proof. Cao Hong and the others sent him a video of Lin Yuwei going out, but the 301 dorm room where Qin Feng stayed was empty, so it meant nothing. Wu Changle was puzzled but ultimately chose to trust his girlfriend.
Wu Changle: “Alright, I’ll trust you this time.”
Lin Yuwei: “Don’t doubt me. I’m yours; I won’t go to Qin Feng’s room.”
Wu Changle: “But you seem happy, your eyes are smiling. Do you have food there? Did your dorm get any compressed biscuits?”
Lin Yuwei: “Yes, yes, we do. Don’t worry, I’ve got snacks stocked up.”
Wu Changle: “Listen, baby, after this zombie crisis is over, we should be together. I’ve been chasing you for so long and spent nearly 100,000 yuan on you. It’s time we take a real step forward!”
Lin Yuwei smiled: “Okay, you’re so eager. I’m yours, don’t worry. Love you, good night.”
Wu Changle: “Yeah, good night... love you!”

The call ended with a ding. Lin Yuwei breathed a sigh of relief; Wu Changle had no idea. She felt proud of her quick wit and how smoothly she lied without blinking.
However, her three roommates had already been bribed by her boyfriend—those wretched girls! Lin Yuwei cursed behind the curtain, “I don’t know who’s so despicable, badmouthing me behind my back.”
Cao Hong retorted through the curtain: “You know what you did. You have a boyfriend but still go to other guys’ rooms.”
Lin Yuwei snapped back: “None of your business. You’re so fat, no man likes you—pathetic.”
Cao Hong shouted: “Who are you calling fat? You’re a green tea b****! Hypocrite, I can’t stand you.”
Lin Yuwei: “Ugly people make trouble!”
Cao Hong: “Who’s ugly? You’re uglier than Tang Tang, and Tang Tang’s the campus queen. You’re a mismatched mess.”
Lin Yuwei: “Come down here, I’ll slap you! Look at you, so fat you’ll starve within three days, you fat pig!”
Cao Hong: “I’m coming down! What, fight? You’re such a coward! I’ll crush you!”
Geng Xuan and Pan Yu tried to intervene: “Stop fighting, stop fighting, we’re all in the same dorm. Let’s get along. After the zombie crisis, we’ll still be roommates for two more years.”
Lin Yuwei sneered: “Zombie crisis over? Ha, dream on. First fill your stomach and survive, then talk.”
Geng Xuan and Pan Yu couldn’t help but ask: “Honestly, Yuwei, where did you go? Did you go to Qin Feng’s room? Why do you smell like food? My nose is sharp—I can smell it!”
Lin Yuwei snapped: “None of your business! Where I go is no concern of yours. If any of you tell my boyfriend again, I’ll slap you!”
Geng Xuan fell silent, still afraid of the campus queen. Pan Yu also said nothing, quietly sucking on a lollipop. Cao Hong, being overweight, had eaten an apple but was still low on blood sugar and soon fell asleep.
After the lights went out in room 302, silence settled.
Meanwhile, in room 301, Qin Feng heard the system’s voice:
