Yang Jie hid behind some clutter, his initially alert eyes glazing over in an instant, shifting from blankness to shock, and finally to disgust. His throat bobbed, and he clamped a hand firmly over his mouth to suppress a wave of nausea.

A long time passed.

"Ah! I can't take it anymore!"

With a roar, Yang Jie charged out, scaring the two fencers so badly they nearly dislocated their joints. Before they could react, *thwack-thwack*—he delivered two swift strikes, knocking them both unconscious. He considered kicking them for good measure but thought better of it; it was too disgusting. He didn't want to ruin his shoes!

"Pah, absolutely sickening!" he spat. "I'll need to wash my eyes when I get back."

Suppressing his revulsion, Yang Jie dragged the two men into a corner of the utility room. He pulled a military uniform from his ring, donned it, and stepped slowly into the logistics corridor. As expected, the hallway was deathly quiet. Passing the cafeteria, he saw several soldiers slumped against the walls, snoring loudly.

He tapped his earpiece twice. "Tongtong, do you copy?"

"Copy that. I've taken over the surveillance! Um, your voice sounds a bit off?"

"Yeah? Just ran into a couple of degenerates. Don't worry about them! Any stragglers left?"

Yang Jie let out a long breath. A moment later, Zhao Baitong’s cold voice came through. "Not everyone is drugged. A few are still in their quarters watching movies, though they should be out soon. Others are on guard duty; a few more drinks and they'll be done for."

Wiping his hands in disgust, Yang Jie exhaled again. "Guide me to the warehouse."

Following Zhao Baitong's directions, he reached the warehouse at the very back. He pushed the heavy doors open, and the lights flickered to life. When Yang Jie saw what was inside, his eyes widened, and a jolt of electricity ran through his scalp.

"Holy—holy cow!"

"No wonder Paul wouldn't talk!"

"With this much gear gone, Commissioner Smith will have to commit ritual suicide, and that old black guy, Wilson, must be pale with fear! Hahahaha!"

"Tsk tsk tsk, they really milked the system. It’s incredible how much they’ve embezzled."

Yang Jie charged inside, bordering on delirious. To put it bluntly, the ordnance here was enough to sustain a massive, high-intensity conflict for an army of ten thousand.

Outside, Zhao Baitong had reunited with Sofia. Unfortunately, while the entire armory was under surveillance, the warehouse interior was the only blind spot.

When this armory was built, they never considered that someone might clean it out entirely; besides, recording the evidence would only be asking for trouble. Sofia took a few deep breaths and shrugged helplessly. "I wonder what he found in there?"

A rare hint of tenderness flickered across Zhao Baitong’s cold, beautiful face. She patted Sofia on the shoulder. "Trust him. He has never let us down."

Sofia thought about it. Over the years, having traveled to so many countries, he was indeed the most reliable person she had ever known. She smiled. "I'm already on the boat, and I never intended to get off. If it weren't for you two, I’d probably be dead by now."

Thinking of her past, Sofia had come to terms with it. Zhao Baitong smiled, checked her watch, and pressed her radio. "Yang Jie, still not out? Has that thing malfunctioned?"

"You—what do you know? Do you have any idea how much stuff is in here?" Yang Jie’s voice was thick with irrepressible ecstasy.

Zhao Baitong’s tone turned cold. "I don't care how much there is. Get it done quickly. This is an armory embezzled by the military, not your own home!"

Yang Jie’s voice vanished instantly, replaced by a terse "Understood."

Yang Jie’s excitement was hardly unreasonable. The contents of the warehouse were staggering: everything from light infantry weapons to heavy artillery, and shelves overflowing with special operations gear. Did she know how hard it was to get this kind of equipment? A single set of thermal-fusion four-eye night vision goggles alone cost between 350,000 and 400,000 Dragon Yuan. These weren't standard-issue; they were advanced thermal-fusion models capable of rendering not just a blurry heat signature, but the crisp outlines of human bodies, weapons, and even the folds in clothing.

Beyond the gadgets, there were mountains of ammunition crates, various rocket launchers, and even daily necessities: military boots, uniforms, and rations.

As for the back of the room, there were large objects shrouded in canvas. When Yang Jie pulled the first cover off, his scalp tingled.

Sweat beaded on his forehead. *Good lord!* That bastard Smith really had the nerve—he’d even embezzled an Apache!

As he pulled back the remaining canvases, military trucks and tanks appeared before him, including a HIMARS rocket system, one of the "three treasures" of the American military fans. Yang Jie was completely stunned. He knew the Lighthouse Nation’s military was bold, but he never imagined they were this reckless.

There were Humvees and Humvee "Terminators," along with Cougar MRAPs. As for the tanks, Yang Jie was speechless; they were all main battle tanks and the latest models at that.

To put it bluntly, if all the ordnance here were mobilized, it would be enough to flatten several small nations. The most extravagant item was a structure at the back made of several welded shipping containers, but without the right tools and with time running out, Yang Jie didn't bother to investigate.

*Gulp.*

Yang Jie swallowed hard and immediately swept everything in the warehouse into his void space. It was enemy territory, after all, and he had to remain vigilant—most importantly, this was only one of five warehouses in the armory.

Even with the help of his "Black Tech" ring, it took Yang Jie over half an hour to absorb the contents of all five warehouses. Fortunately, he felt that his ring’s space was still more than half empty.

Passing through the hallway on his way out, he surreptitiously tucked a takeout receipt into a corner.

Fifteen minutes later, in the car, Yang Jie held a Corona, his lips curled into a smile so wide even an AK couldn't suppress it. He had to admit, the old saying was right: murder and arson lead to golden belts, while building bridges and paving roads leave no bones.

Besides, this stuff had been stolen anyway; taking it was practically a contribution to world peace. This was his foundation for the future. In his bleak outlook on what was to come, with this much firepower, who would dare to bark at him? Just try showing your teeth!

Zhao Baitong, who was driving, asked, "Why didn't you let me clear out the Xiaojiang airfield? Wouldn't that be discovered?"

Yang Jie chuckled. "If you observe someone and don't even take their gear, do you think that's professional?"

"Definitely not..." Zhao Baitong paused, instantly understanding his logic; they had been together for years, after all. Yang Jie’s plan was simple: if he cleaned them out too thoroughly, it would scream "professional job." Leaving some things behind created a false impression and allowed them to keep observing the enemy.

However, Zhao Baitong still felt something was off—Yang Jie was definitely up to no good.

Watching Sofia, who was panting slightly beside him, Yang Jie frowned. "Sofia, does being a supermodel not require physical training?"

Sofia retorted, "Physical training? I'm a supermodel, not a superhero. I do body shaping, not physical conditioning!"

Yang Jie raised an eyebrow, and a new plan began to take shape in his mind.
