The Exchange Hall was as lively as ever.
[Hired a male escort at a gay bar and discovered my husband was the top star: Is anyone willing to hear the story of me and my husband? The full version is available for one basic supply~]
[Found out my boyfriend was gay, tearfully put on men’s clothes and hooked up with him: Same here. Priority to the person above.]
[The Apple of the God of Wealth’s Eye: That’s true love up there!]
[Disguised myself as gay in the hope that my girlfriend would put on men’s clothes and hook up with me: .]
[Rose of the Cold Night: Are netizens part of your little game too?]
[Even the Gods Fear Mr. Bai: Looking for a partner! Looking for a partner! Looking for a partner!]
[Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad: Does anyone have rat poison? I’ll pay a premium! I’ve been chased by a rat for half an hour!]
[Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad: Urgently seeking a rat extermination team. Price negotiable!]
[Daily Good Flavor: Buying fresh vegetables, fresh meat, and all kinds of seasonings. Price negotiable. Interested parties, please message me privately.]
Su Ya had just been about to post a message offering her vegetables when she saw Daily Good Flavor’s buying notice. She immediately decided to speak with him first.
She clicked his avatar to enter his profile, then tapped the private-message button beside it.
[Invincible Tyrannosaurus Battle God: Hello. Are you buying fresh vegetables?]
[Daily Good Flavor: Yes.]
[Invincible Tyrannosaurus Battle God: I just obtained a portion of fresh lettuce. Are you interested? (Image)]
[Daily Good Flavor: Certainly. What price did you have in mind?]
Su Ya honestly had no particular price in mind. She had assumed the other party would simply offer a fixed price.
Besides, she had no immediate use for the lettuce, and it was hardly an irreplaceable necessity.
[Invincible Tyrannosaurus Battle God: Two iron blocks will do.]
The other party did not reply, but soon sent her a trade invitation.
[Two Iron Blocks in exchange for One Fresh Lettuce]
Su Ya clicked Confirm Trade. The fresh lettuce vanished automatically, replaced by two iron blocks.
Both parties were quite satisfied with the transaction.
[Daily Good Flavor: If you have more ingredients in the future, feel free to sell them to me. I’ll buy anything at a reasonable price. If we work together long-term, I can also provide you with some extra supplies. Have a pleasant life, and I look forward to our next transaction.]
[Invincible Tyrannosaurus Battle God: All right. I wish you a pleasant life as well.]
After the trade ended, Su Ya left the private chat and continued lurking in the Exchange Hall, watching until lunchtime.

She had subsisted on instant food for the past few meals, and the quality of life had been rather poor. Now that she had an electric kettle, Su Ya no longer wanted to mistreat herself. She took out a bottle of mineral water and poured it into the kettle.
The survival game had a strange yet perfectly reasonable setting: anything that required electricity could be powered by batteries instead.
Su Ya took out a battery, fitted it into the base of the kettle, and pressed Start. The kettle began to operate.
While the water boiled, Su Ya opened a cup of instant noodles. She took out the fork and arranged the vegetable packet, seasoning powder, oil packet, and noodles. Before long, the water was boiling, and she poured it into the cup.
After a smooth series of practiced motions, Su Ya was soon enjoying a steaming bowl of noodles.
Once lunch was over, Su Ya unfolded her camp bed, spread out the sheets and bedding, and settled in for a delightful nap.
“This is the life~ Joining the rat race? Impossible. I’ll never join the rat race in this lifetime~ Let other people fight over the rankings. Enjoying life is my ultimate goal~”
……
Su Ya slept until four in the afternoon. When she opened her eyes, she saw the system notification waiting for her.
[System 2712 is very unhappy to be of service to you. Road convergence time will now begin.]
At the sight of the notification, Su Ya immediately climbed out of bed.
She quickly put away the bed and blankets, then stood beside her vehicle and quietly waited for the system to match her with another player traveling the same route.
There were essentially three types of players one could encounter during road convergence.
The first was the villainous type. Upon encountering someone on the convergence road, they would kill the other person and seize their supplies. There were relatively few players like this—at least, Su Ya had yet to meet one.
The second was the indifferent type. The road stretched beneath the heavens, and everyone simply went their own way. After a brief encounter, they might exchange a greeting or treat each other with indifference before parting and continuing along their separate routes. This was the most common type of player.
The third was the friendly type. Upon meeting, they would greet each other and offer mutual assistance. The player she had encountered yesterday, Racing Through Life, belonged to this category.
There were no absolute boundaries between the three types. Some people might embody all three. Su Ya preferred to be the second type. After all, she was merely an unambitious little slacker with no desires.
Still, one should never let down one’s guard against others. She needed to stay alert in case a villain appeared.
She had not been waiting long when a black figure emerged from the road behind her.
It was a young man who did not look very old. He had a slightly parted, layered haircut and wore glasses. His upper body was clad in a black hoodie, while his lower half was dressed in black wide-legged trousers and black sneakers. A black backpack rested on his back, and his vehicle was a mountain bike.
The boy in black was pedaling toward Su Ya for dear life, his face twisted in anguish.
Su Ya swiftly brought out the Sacred Hardware Hammer.
As he drew nearer, she suddenly heard him cry:
“Help me!!!”
Only then did she notice the enormous white rat racing behind his bicycle. It was about the size of a human head, and bore a slight resemblance to the one she had obtained from a chest that morning.
The young man in black slammed on the brakes in front of Su Ya. He then jumped off the bicycle and swiftly pulled Su Ya in front of himself.

Su Ya: ?
During the young man’s frantic maneuvering, she caught sight of his nickname.
[Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad]
He was the player who had been seeking a rat extermination team in the Exchange Hall that morning.
Without thinking, she asked, “It’s been several hours. You still haven’t dealt with the rat?”
“Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad” hid behind her and answered solemnly, “I’ve been chased for several hours. I haven’t even had lunch.”
“Brother, you’re really useless!”
After Su Ya finished lamenting, the enormous white rat had already reached them. She raised the Sacred Hardware Hammer and began raining blows upon it.
“Eighty! Eighty! Eighty…”
She struck with exceptional ferocity. Every blow landed precisely on the white rat, and every single one was a critical hit.
In less than five minutes, the white rat breathed its last.
Its corpse soon transformed into experience points, strengthening Su Ya’s weapon.
[Weapon: Sacred Hardware Hammer (Attack Power: 18)]
After dealing with the white rat, Su Ya glanced back at Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad.
His head was covered in sweat, and he was panting heavily, clearly exhausted. His face held the relieved expression of someone who had narrowly escaped death.
When he noticed Su Ya looking at him, Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad raised his hands in a respectful salute and said, “Many thanks for your righteous assistance, heroine!”
“It was nothing, nothing.” Su Ya waved her hand. Killing a rat was hardly any trouble for her.
Yet Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad insisted on expressing his gratitude.
He took twenty iron blocks from his backpack and held them out to Su Ya. “Your great kindness can never be repaid. Please accept this small token of my appreciation.”
Since he was determined to give them to her, Su Ya did not refuse. She accepted the twenty iron blocks.
The two exchanged a few more pleasantries before going their separate ways. Rat-Chased-and-Going-Mad continued onward, while Su Ya remained where she was.
For the next several hours, Su Ya did not encounter another player.
Road convergence time was about to end. Su Ya had been planning to unfold her camp bed and rest once more, but when she turned around, she discovered that the mist covering the road behind her had vanished at some point.
