Among the various types of Nether-beasts, the Shura Nether-beast is an exceptionally rare breed. They possess immense offensive power, and the White Shark Shura, in particular, seems born for water-based Nether-arts; in their hands, any water-based technique can unleash power beyond imagination. For this reason, the White Shark Shura is a highly coveted and rare creature among all Nether-beasts.

Messy strands of hair brushed against Cang Bo’s calm yet fanatical face. He squinted, issuing commands to these White Shark Shuras without a hint of emotion.

Cang Bo’s most masterful skill was the summoning of Nether-beasts. What he took the most pride in, however, was his versatile and vivid grasp of tactics; he possessed a remarkable talent for formation and strategy. Having summoned the White Shark Shuras, his state of mind reached an extraordinary level of composure, and even his eyes showed a subtle change—Jiang Feng could tell it was the look of absolute confidence.

The White Shark Shuras he summoned were humanoid monsters with snarling, shark-like faces and fierce, red-glowing eyes. Their faces and chests were covered in white fur, and most astonishingly, each strand of hair was as sharp as a needle, forming intricate and exquisite patterns, much like some unknown formation.

Around each of their necks hung a skull pendant, appearing like jade or porcelain, and within their hollow eye sockets, a cloud of black mist seemed to be perpetually churning.

"Be careful! The fact that he chose this type of Nether-beast shows that he has a profound understanding of tactics!"

Jiang Feng immediately realized from Jue’s cautionary tone that by utilizing the White Shark Shuras, Cang Bo’s combat effectiveness had risen by more than one level.

But Duan Xingyun, blinded by the heat of battle, reacted instinctively upon seeing these hideous monsters. He hurled several Star Sand flying swords at them. With a series of crisp clangs, the swords left nothing but sparks against the bodies of the White Shark Shuras, failing to leave even a single scratch. Instead, the swords ricocheted back, nearly wounding Duan Xingyun himself.

Seeing Duan Xingyun’s irrational move, Jue grew furious and scolded, "These White Shark Shuras have been tempered for a long time in places thick with killing intent, which has long since seeped into their bodies. They might have retained some semblance of reason, but by provoking them like that, you’ve unleashed their ferocity, and their combat power will surely rise even further!"

Indeed, before Jue’s voice had even faded, Jiang Feng noticed a sinister smile on the corner of Cang Bo’s mouth. He immediately realized this was a trap set by Cang Bo. He had held back the White Shark Shuras’ attacks precisely to wait for them to make the first move; once the beasts were enraged, it would be twice the result for half the effort for him.

Duan Xingyun, facing off against the White Shark Shuras, wore a grave expression. The pressure these ten beasts exerted on him was unprecedented—far greater than what he had felt when facing Jiang Feng. Since the Nine-Crag Grand Tournament, his cultivation had progressed, not just by a little, but by a near-qualitative leap.

Yet, these ten White Shark Shuras…

Duan Xingyun could not perceive a single trace of their presence. If he hadn't seen them with his own eyes, he would have thought the space where they stood was empty. This realization chilled him to the bone. Only Nether-beasts with a special constitution known as the "Nether-Power Void Veil" could conceal their presence in such a manner.

Could these be beasts capable of generating a Nether-Power Void Veil?

In this world, besides Nether-users—humans—there are countless other creatures, with a dizzying variety of types. Categorizing them by grade is often unfair; for instance, the Red-Eyed Black Water Snake that Jiang Feng had hunted earlier was not of a high grade, yet it possessed the potential to evolve into a Flood Dragon.

While Duan Xingyun and Jiang Feng could not fully gauge the strength of these White Shark Shuras, Jue could.

"The strength of these White Shark Shuras is on par with a Nether-User at the eighth stage of the Void-Nether Realm. Furthermore, they do not know the meaning of death; they are like fanatical death-squad warriors, making them far more terrifying than any human eighth-stage Void-Nether user!" Jue said helplessly. His face turned pale. In the past, he would have paid them no mind, but now that his own strength was severely diminished, he had no chance of resisting them. People often say that the unknown is the greatest source of fear, but he now felt that knowing too much was even more terrifying.

His words startled Jiang Feng. Only a short while ago, he had just finished dealing with a troublesome group, and now he was faced with these monstrous things. These White Shark Shuras were genuine eighth-stage Void-Nether entities—a different caliber of power entirely from Zhang Tianhao’s useless junior disciples!

He suddenly felt that the divine beast he had left behind would be nothing more than a harmless, docile baby compared to these Nether-beasts.

A bone-chilling cold surged from the soles of Jiang Feng’s feet the moment he looked at the White Shark Shuras.

Cang Bo remained motionless, not even blinking. To him, as long as these ten White Shark Shuras were present, no enemy was to be feared.

The White Shark Shuras glared at Jiang Feng and Duan Xingyun, snarling with vicious expressions, their right hands perpetually pressed against the skulls at their chests.

The atmosphere grew increasingly heavy and tense.

Jiang Feng’s heart skipped a beat. His gaze suddenly sharpened, and he shouted urgently, "Senior Brother Xingyun, use your Star Sand to cover me! I will charge in. Once I take out these White Shark Shuras, you strike Cang Bo down in one blow!"

Duan Xingyun felt a surge of resolve. Although he also wished to charge into the fray, he knew that he no longer compared to Jiang Feng—whether in control of Nether-power or the sheer capacity of it, Jiang Feng had left him far behind.

"Understood! Be careful!" After that brief instruction, Duan Xingyun stood ready, not daring to relax for a second.

This was Jiang Feng’s only choice. In a joint fight, he had to devise an effective tactic. Duan Xingyun’s strength lay in his explosive power; the offensive capability of his Star Sand was evident and ideal for providing cover, while Jiang Feng, with his deep pool of Nether-power and robust physical resilience, was better suited for charging the front lines.

Just then, the two White Shark Shuras before him vanished into thin air.

*Clang!*

Had Jiang Feng not promptly fashioned a Wood Emperor Divine Needle out of Nether-power, he would have thought his head had been cleanly sliced off by the White Shark Shuras’ claws in that very instant!

A cacophony of metallic clashing echoed everywhere!

Jiang Feng’s Wood Emperor Divine Needle held the claws steady, but suddenly, the long, gaunt fingers of the White Shark Shuras sprouted ten razor-sharp white nails!

Nails that were weapons in their own right!

*Clang! Clang! Clang!*

The rapid-fire clashing sounded like rain. Off-balance, Jiang Feng found himself caught in a blur of motion with the two beasts, weaving through the air. Duan Xingyun, trying to provide cover, could not lock onto his target.

"Damn it! This guy is incredibly strong!" Jiang Feng thought, cursing under his breath. Gritting his teeth, he unleashed the Eight-Dragon Sound Killing technique. Eight dragons of sound, as if summoned from another dimension, appeared out of nowhere. He trusted that even if these sound-dragons couldn't subdue the beasts, they would at least buy him some time! Otherwise, if the remaining eight White Shark Shuras joined the fray, how could he alone withstand so many terrifying monsters?

But the reality far exceeded his expectations. Before the ferocious White Shark Shuras, the eight sound-dragons were like defenseless little insects; after only a few roars, they were torn into ripples of sound by the beasts’ claws!

These damned things!

Jiang Feng, hovering in mid-air, wanted to roar at the heavens. A violent shout, like a thunderclap on a clear day, erupted and spread!

Armor formed of condensed Nether-power wrapped around Jiang Feng at a speed visible to the naked eye. A thin, cicada-wing-like flow of energy surged beneath his feet, as if an invisible brush were silently sketching his movements.

*Whoosh!*

Having gathered his strength for long enough, Jiang Feng vanished into thin air.

Duan Xingyun felt immense pressure. Suddenly, he realized a massive shadow was looming behind him, as if a small hill were slowly moving. The ground rumbled and cracked, scattering countless pebbles.

He clenched his fists tightly. The killing intent of the Star Sand emanated from his Star Sand Azure Dragon Ring, calming his heart. On his still-youthful face, he wore the expression of a seasoned hunter, devoid of any emotion. Having come from the Langya Chamber of Commerce, he had no family or friends other than his master. Since childhood, he had practically crawled his way out of piles of corpses!

Yet, the nameless shadow behind him made it hard to breathe.

Though the enemy hadn't yet struck, Duan Xingyun knew clearly that such a sensation only occurred when an opponent’s strength far exceeded his own. Still, he did not retreat. Jiang Feng had dared to entrust his life to him; if he were to retreat now, would he even be a man?

Gradually, he began to enjoy this confrontation!

Because this was the first time he had ever fought side-by-side with someone! A comrade he could truly trust with his life!

The hatred regarding Xuan Xingzi had slowly receded from his mind. Now, Duan Xingyun only wanted to join Jiang Feng in subduing these ten White Shark Shuras!

His mind raced, calculating how to hinder this massive beast.

Just then, the shadow behind him finally revealed its true form—it was the largest and most vicious-looking of the remaining eight White Shark Shuras!

Duan Xingyun’s pupils contracted!

The hideous White Shark Shura, with its hill-like stature, stood at least ten feet tall. Before it, Duan Xingyun felt like an ant. It appeared to move sluggishly, yet each step covered a vast distance. Countless tiny streams of water, like mist, swirled endlessly around it.

A cold, sharp glint flashed in Duan Xingyun’s eyes. He suddenly raised his hand, adorned with the ring!

"Star Sand Funeral!"
