Chapter 24: The Three Shields Storm the Aerospace Base; Xiao Xiao Ignores Her Total Blindness

"Three iron helmets with 75 durability, two gold-tier repairs."
"Six stamina enhancement injections, plus a full set of blood packs and surgical kits!"
"Gold chest rig, red backpack. Commander, I'm ready!"
"We're going to feast this round!"
Xiaoxiaoyan roared with excitement.
Li Yishu said, "Commander, I'm ready too!"
Heize looked at the two of them—both wearing iron helmets, no armor, and carrying no guns—and couldn't help but ask, "Are you two really going in without armor or guns?"
Xiaoxiaoyan replied, "No need. I'll pop my shield at the start, and I'll just ram them to death!"
"Fine, I'll bring a gun then!"
Heize equipped an M14, along with armor repair kits, blood packs, and a full set of surgical injections.
"Welcome to the Aerospace Base. This place is filled with the secrets of future technology!"
As the system prompt chimed, the three of them entered the matchmaking lobby.
They spawned at the second prison block, which wasn't a great location.
Xiaoxiaoyan asked, "Commander, what's the play this round?"
Heize replied, "Shield-bearers can't handle the outdoors. We'll swipe the card at the Second Staff Access to cross the bridge, then head up to the CEO's office through the Black Room."
Li Yishu said, "Understood, Commander!"
Soon, the trio spawned in the assembly room.
After checking the rocket fuel spawn point and confirming it was empty, they immediately charged toward the Second Staff Access.
Xiaoxiaoyan shouted, "Commander, that squad at the Second Staff Access already swiped through!"
"Follow me!" Heize roared, and the three of them rushed into the underground passage.
Once inside, they quickly climbed onto the pipes, preparing to enter the core area.
"Bang!" A gunshot rang out.
"Ah!"
Xiaoxiaoyan yelled, "Commander, I'm down! I'm down!"
Li Yishu said, "Commander, it's that squad from the Central Control building! They zipped over the bridge!"
"Run!" Heize shouted.
Without an AW, it was nearly impossible to fight at that range and position.
"Bang!"
Another gunshot.
Li Yishu dropped to the ground.
"Commander, the squad from the third prison block has flanked us!"
Then, a burst of M14 gunfire erupted.
Xiaoxiaoyan and Li Yishu were finished off instantly.
Heize instinctively pressed 'V', but instead of his usual ability, he threw a grappling hook.
"Bang!"
"Rat-tat-tat!"
Heize collapsed, his screen went black, and the extraction failed.
Xiaoxiaoyan: "Huh?"
Li Yishu: "What?"

In the livestream chat:
Talent Hack: "LMAO, the three of them were treated like roadkill!"
Dawn's Light: "The Commander throwing a grappling hook while on the pipes—what a mysterious move!"
MeowMeowLove: "The whole family, wiped out together!"
Wei Ge: "Though not born on the same day, you three managed to die on the same day!"
WarGodCavity: "The entertainment value of this segment is off the charts!"
Xiaoxiaoyan said, "Commander, real experts never win the first round!"
"That's right!" Li Yishu nodded. "Let's keep trying!"
Xiaoxiaoyan: "Commander, maybe you should play as 'Viper' again!"
Heize: "..."
Xiaoxiaoyan: "Commander, why did you mute your mic again?"
"Sigh!" Heize let out a breath. "That one's on me. I thought I was playing Viper, but I threw a grappling hook instead!"
"Exactly, exactly!" Xiaoxiaoyan agreed. "The Commander swapped operators and wasn't quite used to the change yet!"
The chat was flooded with viewers wanting to see more.
"Alright!" Heize said. "If you guys want to see it, let's go again!"
"That's the spirit!" Xiaoxiaoyan said.
Li Yishu added, "We'll rise from where we fell!"
The three quickly geared up.
Xiaoxiaoyan and Li Yishu added a primary weapon to their previous setup.
Heize brought a heavy machine gun and a sidearm, going in fully kitted.
Restarting, they spawned at the West Gate.
Upon landing, they swiped the card to enter the Buoyancy Room.
Without looting, they went straight up the ladder to the CEO's office.
Heize used his M14 to clear out the AI soldiers.
Li Yishu and Xiaoxiaoyan each threw down a wire trap in the corridors of the Buoyancy Room and the Black Room.
Xiaoxiaoyan said, "Commander, everything is set!"
Li Yishu added, "You can hit the safe now, Commander!"
"Good. You two go loot inside the CEO's office. I'll grab the safe, then finish the mission—hurry up!" Heize crouched before the safe and began unlocking it.
The two entered the office one after the other. Xiaoxiaoyan jumped onto the table and snatched the computer first.
Xiaoxiaoyan said, "Little Yishu, you're not as fast as me, are you?"
Li Yishu didn't answer because he saw a keycard on the table—a red one.
He quickly tucked it into his safe container.
Then, the sound of the card being swiped echoed.
"What the hell?"
"What was that sound?"
"Why did I hear someone swiping a keycard?"
Xiaoxiaoyan, having finished the computer, stared at Li Yishu: "Little Yishu, you, you, you..."
Li Yishu said, "You were faster!"
"A red card?" Xiaoxiaoyan roared. "A red card? It's a red card?!"
Li Yishu: "Oh, it's just a red card for the Radar Station. I rarely play Longbow Valley!"

Xiaoxiaoyan: "I... I... I..."
In the livestream chat:
DesolateHeavenEmperor: "Xiaoxiaoyan is so angry he can't even speak!"
SuperLittleGrandma: "He finally got the Commander's order to hack the computer, and Yishu just grabs a red card right out of his hand!"
Heartbeat: "Greed blinds the eyes!"
A-Zhou: "Lmao, this is even more painful for Xiaoxiaoyan than being killed!"
DaoistMaster: "Daily tears for Xiaoxiaoyan!"
At this moment, Heize had finished the safe mission.
He entered the CEO's office and locked the door behind him.
Li Yishu promptly threw a wire trap at the entrance.
Heize said, "Open the safe quickly; someone's coming!"
Xiaoxiaoyan wailed, "Commander, Little Yishu swiped a red card right under my nose! Waaaaah..."
"Oh? Really?" Heize reached into his inventory and pulled out his Main Battle Tank model.
"Holy cow, a tank! A tank, it's a tank!" Xiaoxiaoyan jumped up in excitement.
Heize said, "Too bad, I don't have a nine-slot safe..."
"I do! I do!" Xiaoxiaoyan shouted excitedly.
Heize said, "Yishu, why don't you hold onto it for me?"
"No problem, Commander!" Li Yishu said. "You hold onto my red card for me!"
Xiaoxiaoyan immediately interjected, "Little Yishu, listen to me, I love playing Longbow Valley, I really do! Do you want to..."
Before he could finish, Heize and Li Yishu had already completed their trade.
Xiaoxiaoyan: "What the hell? You guys..."
Heize said, "Didn't you loot the computer? Didn't you get anything good?"
Xiaoxiaoyan: "I... I... Waaaaah... I only got a gold-tier blueprint!"
In the livestream chat:
ExplosiveNight: "Lmao, Xiaoxiaoyan is having a meltdown!"
AustraliaTree: "The Commander got a tank, Yishu got a red card, and Xiaoxiaoyan is crying while hugging his gold blueprint!"
Nightmare: "Oh man, crying isn't a crime!"
XyU123: "Hurry up and open the safe!"
YaNanxia: "Wait any longer and someone's going to show up!"
"You two guard the door, I'll crack the safe!" Heize said, immediately moving to open it.
"No problem, Commander!" Li Yishu switched to his knife, waiting at the door for the AI to arrive.
Xiaoxiaoyan sidled up to Li Yishu and dropped the gold blueprint at his feet: "Little Yishu, look, what's that on the floor?"
Li Yishu quickly picked up the gold blueprint and said, "Thanks, brother!"
Xiaoxiaoyan said, "Do you know how deep the water is in the CEO's office?"
Li Yishu replied, "You've been in the water; you definitely know better than me!"
Xiaoxiaoyan: "Ah..."
