Ye Zihan carefully observed the wolf king for a long time, then nodded and said, “Since you want to spar with us, very well, I’ll grant you that now.” With that, Ye Zihan swiftly charged toward the wolf king. At this moment, Ye Zihan was all in; this was a choice made out of necessity.
The pack of snow wolves sought their lives, and if Ye Zihan and his companions wanted to survive, they had no choice but to fight the wolf king. It was a battle between equals, so Ye Zihan dared not be careless—it was extremely dangerous.
Seeing Ye Zihan strike at him, the wolf king quickly shook off Mo You, who had been locked in combat with him, preparing instead to face Ye Zihan directly. He understood that Ye Zihan was the strongest challenger here. If Ye Zihan fell to him, the wolf king would surely deal with Chen Yiyan and the others afterward, which was exactly what he hoped for.
“Bang!”
The wolf king leapt from the snowy mountain and, using his impenetrable claws, clashed fiercely with Ye Zihan’s swinging Red Lotus Daggers. Their powers were evenly matched, leaving the wolf king momentarily helpless against Ye Zihan.
Within a radius of ten miles lay carcasses of snow wolves—mostly first- and second-tier beasts, with some fourth-tier ones. Only a few fifth-tier or higher snow wolves had fallen, so the pack’s offensive strength remained terrifying.
Even the battle-hardened Chen Yiyan felt helpless against the thousands of snow wolves. While he could kill many, completely wiping them out was a monumental task due to their sheer numbers.
Despite having slain thousands and turning the battlefield into a river of snow wolf corpses, killing all of them was still far from easy. The snow wolves were fierce opponents; although there were few fifth-tier wolves, they still existed in significant numbers.
“You human, why is your cultivation so peculiar? Your aura feels very ancient. Could it be some mysterious, ancient technique, or perhaps you carry a primordial sword from the ancient times?” The wolf king’s nose was highly sensitive, and he immediately voiced his impressions—observation was a necessary stage for the strong.
Ye Zihan smiled and replied, “If you really think I have a sword, then come and catch me. Then you’ll find out whether I have one or not, haha.” Ye Zihan found the wolf king quite amusing. In truth, Ye Zihan was indeed using the ancient “Phantom God Art,” which explained the archaic aura.
As he spoke, Ye Zihan began activating the “Phantom God Art.” A multicolored aura from the icy world around slowly converged onto him, and his body seemed like a bottomless pit, absorbing the vast energy.
“What kind of cultivation is this? I feel a chaotic essence... You must possess a secret from the primordial era; otherwise, such an aura is impossible.” The wolf king became even more convinced, having sensed the five elemental energies on Ye Zihan—pure and rich, reminiscent of the chaotic primordial world.
Ye Zihan chuckled, “Haha, say whatever you want. Since you think that way, I don’t mind. As long as I can kill you, that’s the best cultivation, isn’t it?” He looked at the baffled wolf king and sneered. Sometimes, silence was a form of attitude.
“In that case, I have no choice but to keep attacking you.” The wolf king lunged at Ye Zihan again. If they ended in a stalemate today, the wolf pack would surely suffer heavier losses, as thousands of wolves had already been slain by Ye Zihan’s group, who had not lost a single member yet.

Ye Zihan sneered coldly, “Whatever, since you came, settle down.” He then charged at the wolf king, and they quickly plunged into fierce combat.
This was a water-element snow wolf, but it still found Ye Zihan difficult to handle. Ye Zihan had hoped to use earth-element attacks to counter the wolf king, but unfortunately, they were in a world made entirely of ice and water, forcing Ye Zihan to continue the brutal melee.
Had this battle taken place on the outskirts of Phantom God Continent, this wolf king would have likely lost long ago. Ye Zihan, with all five elemental energies activated, was a nightmare to the wolf king. Even here, in the icy realm, Ye Zihan exerted tremendous pressure.
The icy world was a water domain, giving the wolf king a tremendous advantage—he had the heavens, earth, and people on his side. Yet, facing Ye Zihan, a man seemingly blessed by incredible luck, his fate began to rewrite itself. He had never encountered anyone as strong as Ye Zihan before.
Ye Zihan’s greatest strength was not in his cultivation level but in his vitality. The wolf king was known for his immense strength and physicality, granting him an overwhelming edge against similar-tiered beasts.
However, the wolf king was now thoroughly confused. Ye Zihan had never eased up on his attacks; instead, his rhythm had grown tighter, and the pressure on the wolf king increased. This was far from normal, and the wolf king was bewildered.
What kind of person could be stronger than a local tyrant like him? Now, he had his answer: a young warrior like Ye Zihan, who was not only stronger but also skilled in cultivation, posed massive pressure on him.
Ye Zihan and the wolf king fought fiercely for hundreds of rounds. Even as evenly matched warriors, they finally had to pause.
“Young man, why have you come to our icy world? Can you tell me your reasons?” The wolf king ceased attacking. His blows against Ye Zihan felt like hitting soft cotton—powerless and humiliating. He was the butt of a cruel joke, with Ye Zihan as the victor.
Ye Zihan looked over the countless snow wolf corpses strewn across the battlefield—thousands of them—a magnificent yet grim sight. Even such a brave man as Ye Zihan felt a shiver run down his spine, especially at the blood-stained ice, which formed a river of blood flowing through the frozen world.
“Achoo.” Gazing at the cold and bloody scene, Ye Zihan couldn’t help but sneeze, a chill creeping over him.
He glanced at the wolf king and smiled, “We’re merely passing through, so we have no intention of fighting over territory, nor will we linger. We seek only to reach the end of the icy world. What do you say to that?” Ye Zihan said this calmly, while the wolf pack had grown quieter. The wolf king, having lost so many wolves, was undoubtedly in a sour mood.
The wolf king looked at the sea of snow wolf corpses, then lifted his proud head and let out a mournful howl: “Awooo.” Even Ye Zihan felt a pang of sympathy.
Suddenly, the other snow wolves surrounding Chen Yiyan and Yan Chen halted their attacks, raised their heads, and howled mournfully into the sky. A wave of grief swept through the blood-soaked icy world.

“Go on your way. We no longer wish to sacrifice ourselves needlessly. I know this fight will end in mutual destruction,” the wolf king said coldly before turning away, unwilling to remain amidst the sea of snow wolf carcasses.
“Awooo.”
The remaining snow wolves howled mournfully upon seeing their leader leave, then dragged their fallen comrades’ bodies and departed.
“Rumble.” Thousands of snow wolves ran across the icy world in a grand spectacle, dragging thousands of wolf corpses with them in a vast, imposing procession.
“Let’s go.” Yan Chen glanced at the departing wolves and then at the blood-stained icy world. Though a seasoned cultivator, even Yan Chen couldn’t help but sigh. This once-beautiful ice world had turned into a terrifying, blood-soaked hellscape due to an unexpected battle.
Ye Zihan looked at the wolf king’s retreating figure, understanding that the king merely didn’t want to sacrifice his subjects in vain—the wolves were his capital.
“Let’s move on. Once we clear this hurdle, I think we’ll reach our destination,” Ye Zihan said, already weary from slaying so many wolves and battling the wolf king. Fatigue was inevitable.
Chen Yiyan nodded. “Yes, we should arrive soon. Let’s go.” He glanced at Lin Dong, then followed Ye Zihan. It was time to leave; their business here was done.
Chen Yiyan felt no pity for the snow wolves. He understood that this battle was a matter of survival—either they died, or the wolves did. Killing them meant preserving their own lives.
Lin Dong quickly followed Chen Yiyan. Mo You had already shrunk to the size of a palm and nestled in Ye Zihan’s arms. He was well-fed and pleased—having gained many magic cores from the slain wolves, which would serve as future nourishment.
“Brother Ye Zihan, there’s an ice city ahead. It looks like there are still people active inside,” Yan Chen pointed out. For Yan Chen, seeing signs of life in this icy world was a rare and remarkable sight.
“Yes, and it’s a group of girls at that. How could I miss it?” Ye Zihan smiled at Yan Chen. He found it hard to believe there were girls active here—this was definitely unusual.
