25 Tired, let it all end.
"Hey, Captain, Kiyomasa and the others have all been taken down at Tonimoku Park." After a brief exchange, Red-boy hung up the phone.
"Why didn't you tell him to hurry up?"
Kitajo Kyosuke said with dissatisfaction. Although he had already eaten dinner before coming here, he still hated wasting time waiting. He despised troublesome things more than anything, and waiting ranked in his top ten list of "troubles." Of course, it would be a different story if he were waiting for Emi or Shoko. Fortunately, the girls had never made him wait so far; whether for a date or anything else, they were always dressed and ready ahead of time.
"Our Kanto Manji Gang headquarters is in Shibuya, so they would have come quickly even if we hadn't called," Red-boy said honestly. Inside, he felt a flicker of glee, thinking that once the captain arrived, he would be able to avenge them.
"Oh, then you're useless." With that, Kitajo Kyosuke raised his bamboo sword and delivered a downward strike. Red-boy rolled his eyes and collapsed, unconscious.
"So amazing. Truly worthy of being called the 'Handless Devil,' the second generation of the Boso Tenshi."
"Yeah, that Kiyomasa was knocked out in a single blow."
Chido Atsushi and the others, despite being covered in bruises, watched Kitajo Kyosuke with glowing eyes as he displayed his prowess.
"Kisaki, do you want to go to the hospital first?" Kitajo Kyosuke walked over to the group and asked Kisaki Tetta.
By now, Kisaki Tetta and Hanagaki Takemichi had been helped to the side, leaning against a tree.
"No, it's just a minor injury. I still need to settle the score with that guy."
Kisaki Tetta glared viciously at the unconscious Kiyomasa Masataka, spitting out a mouthful of blood as he spoke. He had never been a good person, nor did he feel that bullying someone who couldn't fight back was wrong.
"Boss, can you lend me your bamboo sword?"
"No. I don't lend out my swords or my women. Same goes for my motorcycle."
Kitajo Kyosuke guessed what Kisaki Tetta was planning and flatly refused, then used his foot to flick up a baseball bat someone had dropped and tossed it to him.
"Use this. Don't go too hard; mind your limits."
"Don't worry." Kisaki Tetta touched the front tooth in his pocket, wondering if it could even be put back in. But more than his tooth, he wanted to vent the fury in his heart.
As Kisaki Tetta headed off in a rage to take his revenge on Kiyomasa Masataka, Kitajo Kyosuke turned to Hanagaki Takemichi and the others.
"You lot, do you need to go to the hospital?"
"No, thank you so much for saving us!"
Although they were aching all over, Hanagaki Takemichi and his friends immediately bowed and shouted.
"Ah, no, it was Kisaki—"
Kitajo Kyosuke realized something was wrong. It seemed he had stolen Kisaki Tetta's thunder, and he immediately wanted to clarify.
"As expected of the 'Handless Devil' who defeated the 'Hero of the East'!" Hanagaki Takemichi looked at Kitajo Kyosuke with undisguised worship.
Hearing this, Kitajo Kyosuke's expression slumped. No, didn't you see me landing headshots in one hit? Why do you keep calling me "Handless" over and over?
"Yeah, yeah, Kitajo-san is just too strong!" Chido Atsushi's eyes sparkled.
"But, is it really okay for us to stay here? Shibuya is the home turf of the Kanto Manji Gang. Their reinforcements will be here any minute," said Yamagishi Kazushi, who knew the most about delinquents and called himself the "Delinquent Dictionary."
At these words, the expressions of Hanagaki Takemichi and the others changed.
"Uh, Kitajo-san, we should probably retreat. Even if the Boso Tenshi send reinforcements, they won't arrive faster than the Toman (short for Kanto Manji Gang)," Hanagaki Takemichi said cautiously, afraid that Kitajo might think he was underestimating him.
"Ah, the Toman reinforcements are indeed arriving soon. That guy called Red-boy already made the call. We can just wait a little."
*Do you have any idea what you're saying?!*
Hanagaki Takemichi's expression crumbled, performing a masterclass in facial contortions on the spot.
"Hahaha, Hanagaki-san, your expression is hilarious." Kitajo Kyosuke sat down on the ground. Since the Toman people hadn't arrived yet, he might as well sit and wait. For a lazy guy like him, he would never stand if he could sit.
"No, Kitajo-san, you must have called for reinforcements too, right?" Seeing that the other party had no intention of leaving, Hanagaki Takemichi asked, clinging to his last shred of hope.
"For a second-rate organization like Toman, the Boss can handle them all by himself. There's no need for the Boso Tenshi members to come and help," Kisaki Tetta walked over, carrying the blood-stained baseball bat, and answered Hanagaki's question.
Kitajo Kyosuke turned his head to look at Kiyomasa Masataka behind Kisaki Tetta.
*Tsk, tsk.* He looked much more miserable than Kisaki Tetta, and he was still conscious, moaning in pain while clutching his mouth.
After saying that, Kisaki Tetta remembered his goal and hurried over to Hanagaki Takemichi to put on a show.
"Hanagaki-san, it's all my fault for not coming sooner."
*Tsk, tsk.* Watching Kisaki Tetta's self-reproachful face, Kitajo Kyosuke almost felt like applauding.
"Not at all. If it weren't for you and Kitajo-san, we would have been in real trouble today," Hanagaki Takemichi waved his hands quickly.
"That's good. If anything like this happens in the future, just tell me. I'll help you!"
Mimicking the tone of heroes from television dramas, Kisaki Tetta felt that his eyes must be shining with light at this very moment.
"Kisaki-san, you're so kind! But your nose is bleeding again."
Wiping the blood away casually, Kisaki Tetta felt it was all worth it, even at the cost of a front tooth.
"Oh, the Toman people are here. I'll go take care of them."
Hearing the roar of a swarm of motorcycles, Kitajo Kyosuke stood up, leaning on his bamboo sword, his tone indifferent.
"I wish you victory in battle!" Kisaki Tetta bowed.
Hanagaki Takemichi and the others bowed as well.
Once he had walked a bit further away, Hanagaki Takemichi and the others started talking again.
"So cool! That's Toman! Facing an entire delinquent gang, and Kitajo-san's tone was as relaxed as if he were just going to the convenience store to buy a drink!"
Hanagaki Takemichi clenched his hands into fists at his chest, looking at the slowly approaching Kitajo Kyosuke with eyes full of worship.
"Didn't you know? The Boss previously defeated all the members of the Boso Tenshi by himself, and then wiped out Moebius all on his own."
Kisaki Tetta heard Hanagaki Takemichi's words and felt something was off, but he immediately began promoting his boss's glorious deeds anyway.
"Of course I know! It's spread throughout the entire Tokyo delinquent world! The Handless Devil reigns over the East, the new master of the Boso Tenshi," Hanagaki Takemichi said excitedly.
Kisaki Tetta finally realized what was wrong; it seemed Hanagaki Takemichi didn't admire him at all.
"Uh, Hanagaki-san, I was the one who wanted to come save you today; the Boss is just here to help me," Kisaki Tetta tried to salvage the situation.
"To even fulfill a subordinate's request so seriously... Atsushi, this is the hero I told you about! Kitajo-san will definitely become the strongest delinquent in Japan!"
*I'm tired. Just destroy it all.*
Kisaki Tetta closed his eyes powerlessly.
