A canyon nestled within the wild forest. On either side, sheer cliffs rose abruptly, jagged rocks protruding like ancient sentinels. Deep green vines twisted and intertwined, weaving a natural tapestry. Above the clouds, a colossal eagle with wings spanning dozens of meters patrolled the land. Its feathers shimmered with a brilliant silvery sheen, far beyond the realm of ordinary creatures.

Under the watchful eye of this formidable opponent, a colossal figure with the body of a man and the head of an elephant howled towards the heavens. White mist rippled across the ground, shattering boulders and uprooting trees with a terrifying display of power.

Hundreds of alabaster elephants trembled as they submitted, driving their tusks into the earth, kneeling and bowing in silence, frozen in place.

The towering elephant-headed giant, tens of meters tall, casually seized one of the alabaster elephants and stuffed it into its mouth. Its sharp tusks opened and closed, spraying blood and flesh. Even at the moment of death, the unfortunate white elephant dared not utter a sound.

Several leagues away, a man and his dog moved silently through the underbrush. The White General, or Elephant Lord as some called it, was a legendary monster used by the elders of Anping Island to frighten children. Legend held that it bore a mountain upon its back, endlessly roaming wildernesses, feeding on elephant flesh and drinking blood, never satiated.

Jiang He exchanged a glance with the old dog. There was nothing more to say; the Elephant Lord was simply too large for his hunting list.

The man and dog retreated quietly.

Suddenly, the Elephant Lord spat out two tusks—these were the hardest and sharpest parts of the alabaster elephants, which even the Elephant Lord was reluctant to swallow. Over the years, the tusks had piled into small mountains.

“I’m very tempted,” Jiang He whispered, candidly.

The tusks, charged with the collective resentment of the elephant herd, paired well with the half-dragon bone. Fusing them within the item pouch might greatly enhance their quality.

Old Hei remained silent, respecting whatever choice Jiang He made, right or wrong.

Jiang He lowered his eyelids, a spark of mischief flickering in his mind—perhaps provoking rival lords to fight and then reaping the rewards. Yet, he quickly dismissed the thought. The mountain ghost he had encountered before had already shown some cunning, and the Elephant Lord was likely even more formidable. Among top hunters, except when survival was at stake, inflicting serious injury was rare. Such provocations were dangerously close to playing with fire.

Moreover, he did not know the true value of the tusks to the Elephant Lord; they might be worthless or treasured beyond measure.

Most crucially, the adversary’s extraordinary abilities remained shrouded in mystery.

Within his mind, reason and desire tangled fiercely, spawning reckless hopes. Perhaps the Elephant Lord’s might made intruders insignificant, or maybe it would welcome help in clearing the tusksI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
