Nara Hikaru was on the road.
He didn’t understand why Narumi Asai was still in the Ekoda area after investigating Kaito Kuroba’s whereabouts, nor why the Black Organization had noticed Narumi Asai and was hunting her down.
But Hikaru knew that this matter was most likely connected to the first major case he solved after crossing over.
That was the “Moonshadow Island Serial Murder Case.”
Having just crossed over, he was not accustomed to his frail new body and had no intention of staying in this place, so he planned to return to his hometown, to Kanto Mountain, to seek traces of his existence.
Then, due to a series of chaotic events, he happened to pass by Moonshadow Island.
Recalling Narumi Asai, the culprit from a famous Conan case, Hikaru spent some time investigating the affairs on Moonshadow Island and ultimately identified the exact identities of those who were trafficking heroin and committing murders.
Afterward, he spent four days eliminating those who had been evading justice one by one.
On the fifth day, the police arrived; he disappeared for a day and, on the sixth day, when the other group of heroin recipients thought he had left and came out, he wiped them out as well before disappearing without a trace.
Although Hikaru was not yet the urban legend of Mihama Town at that time,
his style and methods were identical. Most likely, because his personal signature was too distinct, the Moonshadow Island case was also attributed to him.
Perhaps it was for this reason that the Organization noticed Narumi Asai, who left Moonshadow Island immediately after the case concluded?
“Narumi Asai, if you die, I will make the Black Organization pay tenfold.”
“I promise!”
Hikaru murmured quietly as he rode his motorcycle.
He was always a man of his word, steadfast and resolute.
The fury of a half-human, half-demon never ceased lightly, nor did it easily pause.
He rushed toward the location Narumi Asai had given him.
Elsewhere, Vodka was still investigating and searching alongside Chianti, Korn, and Rikudō Kusuda.
Though their tracking skills were no match for Kaito Kuroba, who was actually the Phantom Thief Kid,
their professionalism as Black Organization operatives made them like hounds that relentlessly pursued the shadows of Kaito and Narumi—
“I should’ve never come to school...”
Kaito muttered softly.
He had no recent plans and had only brought a few magic props, all used to tease Aoko at school. If he had used disguises or headed to a crowded street, he might have shaken off the pursuers.
But judging by how these trackers dared to open fire directly,
leading them to crowded places could cause significant casualties. It seemed he would have to circle around more, confuse them, and seize the moment they were disoriented to escape from here.
Thinking this, Kaito couldn’t help but glance at Narumi Asai and asked,
“So, sir, what exactly is your identity?”
“Why would anyone come after you with guns? They don’t look like good people to me.”
...Who could possibly be a good person to openly shoot at others in broad daylight?
It couldn’t be the plainclothes Public Security Bureau of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, right?

Narumi Asai shook his head and simply said,
“I’m just a normal doctor.”
“As for why they’re after me... I don’t really know.”
“But I guess it’s related to ‘that person.’”
Kaito was stunned.
As a magician who surpassed magicians, he had often used tricks that played on curiosity and mystery.
But this unknown man was trying to engage his curiosity with such a trick?
Of course, he wouldn’t fall for it.
After quickly circling around the area with Narumi Asai, Kaito pulled him away from the danger zone.
“All right, all right, I’m not going to listen. You don’t have to say anything. Well then, goodbye, doctor.”
He slipped his hands back into his pockets and was about to turn away.
Yet, he couldn’t help but glance back to remind the “doctor” to seek help from the Metropolitan Police Department soon.
The roar of a motorcycle grew louder from a distance.
Kaito narrowed his eyes as the figure on the motorcycle rapidly grew larger in his vision. Although still far off, he could clearly see the person’s appearance.
Draped in a black coat, wearing black sunglasses, riding a black motorcycle...
If this guy wasn’t a daytime biker gang member recklessly speeding, he could only be Mihama Town’s urban legend—the “Half-Human, Half-Demon, Number One Sharpshooter.”
The Phantom Thief Kid’s poker face began to falter.
He finally understood why the cross-dressing doctor he had just saved was being hunted.
The person Narumi Asai sought help from was this elusive half-human, half-demon, and the ones chasing them were likely gangsters seeking revenge against him!
At this moment, the Black Organization members who had been thoroughly outwitted by Kaito were confused.
They had split up but found no trace of Kaito or Narumi.
Just as they planned to regroup via comms, the motorcycle’s roar drew near and gradually stopped.
In the next instant, the black reaper silently arrived.
Nara Hikaru reached into the back of his black coat and pulled out two pistols.
Then, with a calm expression, he stepped into the alley.
He did not hide the sound of his footsteps at all.
Kaito and Narumi had to remain concealed, but he did not.
Tap, tap, tap, tap.
The footsteps echoed through the alley.
Though it was daytime, Rikudō Kusuda inexplicably felt a chill down his spine.
He gripped his pistol tightly and scanned every corner nearby.

Trying to dispel the inexplicable chill creeping over him.
But he failed.
Because, at some unknown moment, a gun was pressed against the back of his head.
“What—y—”
Kusuda immediately turned to fire at the person behind him.
But the bullet that pierced through his head gave him no chance.
With a thud, Kusuda lay on the ground, unwilling to accept his fate, staring at his own brain matter.
Nara Hikaru didn’t even bother to engage these enemies in unnecessary conversation.
He was here solely to eliminate every one of them.
The half-human, half-demon urban legend turned around.
The nearest Korn and Chianti were rapidly approaching.
Hikaru could hear them clearly.
As the most outstanding assassin in Kanto Mountain, his hearing was sharp enough to detect the slightest sound within a two-kilometer radius.
Even though he couldn’t use his full abilities in the bustling streets of Mihama Town,
but dealing with these Black Organization gunmen, who were less than bandits, was no challenge.
Gunshots echoed through the winding alley.
Then everything fell silent.
Vodka seemed to sense something.
He cautiously leaned behind a trash bin, hiding and waiting for the enemy to appear.
Only when night fell did Vodka emerge from cover and see the bodies of Korn, Chianti, and Kusuda.
They were dead—meaninglessly dead.
“...Half-human, half-demon, number one sharpshooter.”
He whispered the title.
It seemed as though the black-clad reaper stood before the Black Organization, wielding his scythe to reap lives.
Within Mihama Town, it seemed a ghost was wandering.
And that ghost had arrived.
